There is a tradition on Family Feud where the sword that Our Sir, Veisaid was knighted with is passed from host to host backstage, much like the Late Night pickle. In 1988, Our Sir, Veisaid passed the sword over to Ray Combs. Ray would later pass it back to Richard in 1994, reluctantly. Richard would go on to pass the sword again in 1999, this time to Louie Anderson. Louie in turn would pass it to Richard Karn in 2002. From Karn, it went to John O'Hurley in 2006. John loaned it to Al Roker in 2008. He passed it over to Steve Harvey in 2010. The sword sat in Mark Goodson's office from 1976 to 1996, when it was moved to All American Television's offices. Pearson was in possession of it from 1998 to 2001, when it went to Fremantle, whose offices it is displayed in to this day.

How about the knife he let the kid play with?

Mark Goodson owned that knife. Marjorie inherited his kitchen utensils.

I hear Sir Veisaid originally wanted the kid to use the sword to cut the cake. Mark Goodson thought that was going too far, so he provided his sharpest knife as a compromise.
