There are three GS anniversaries that have passed in the last few days...

First of all, I posted these two on Sunday, but they were not picked up on
the AOL newsgroup servers: Jan. 4, 1988 saw the debut of Blackout, hosted by
Bob Goen, on CBS, replacing The $25,000 Pyramid. Blackout only lasts 13 weeks
before CBS brings back Pyramid by popular demand.

January 11, 1988 was the debut of Yahtzee in syndication, hosted by Peter
Marshall...it didn't last long either...

And January 12 marked the 30th anniversary of the debut of the nighttime
Hollywood Squares on NBC, with Marshall as host (of course)...The syndicated
nighttime version came along in the 70s...

If we're talking about Jay Wolpert shows, we can't forget this:

15 years ago on January 3rd, Peter Tomarken hosted his first game show, a
Jay Wolpert (and Metromedia) gem named "Hit Man". The stories were boring,
but game play, especially the Triple Crown, makes it classic.

January 3, 1983 also marked the premiere of $ale of the Century with hostess
Sally Julian. (shudder)

Today, January 14, is the one year anniversary of my page. :-)

How about these:

January 7, 1974: premiere of "Jackpot!" on NBC
January 6, 1975: premieres of "Wheel Of Fortune" and "Blank Check" on NBC,
and "The Diamond Head Game" in syndication
January 8, 1979: premieres of "All Star Secrets" and "Password Plus" on NBC
January 14, 1980: premiere of "Face The Music" in syndication and "Chain
Reaction" on NBC
