Fictional game show: "Double Trouble"
Host: Bob Eubanks (famous for "The Newlywed Game" and "Card Sharks" and in a
real promo in 1993, he was plugging the NBC network for his new game show
"Family Secrets" (aired on NBC in 1993), but I'm glad to see him return again a
few years later in 1997 for his own show that he made himself famous for 20+
years -- "The Newlywed Game" using the favorite classic format and the old
theme music)
The Players
Team 1: Will Smith and Carlton Banks
Team 2: Jazzy Jeff and a friend of Will and Jazz (looks like but it's not
Kadeem Hardison)
Round 1: Question time (jump-ins like on "Dream House."E ach correct is worth
100 pts.).
Round 2: Stunt round played like on "Beat the Clock." I think what Bob said to
the contestants "now get on your bikes and act stupid." He
walks away and the players hilariously make a fool out of
themselves.
Round 3: Final question round: Will and Jazz are put into the isolation booth
on the main game stage. Just like in "The Newlywed Game" Bob
asks a question to Will's teammate and to Jazz's
teammate. "Who is Jazz's best friend?" Will starts fighting Jazz in the
isolation booth and when time is up. Jazz's teammate decided
to apologize to Will and Jazz. "Guys, I'm sorry!"
What an episode this show was and for a prime-time sitcom like "Fresh Prince"
to get a real game show host like Bob Eubanks to host a fictional show was
amazing.
