Hmmm, he would have been about 10 or 11 years old in late 1988/ early 1989 when
the Tom Jones (with Art of Noise) remake hit the Top 40. I don't believe that he
didn't know or remember that one. My 22 year old sister would know the answer.
Heck, I think that an overwhelming majority of the audience know the answer. I
don't believe that he didn't see that music video when it aired on Night Tracks
( http://www.jungworld.com/night-tracks/ ), MTV or VH-1.
The Tom Jones remake of Kiss is in my Night Tracks video collection

I yell it at the TV screen at least once a week, now it's the ng's turn to hear it:
How the HELL do these people make it through the qualifying *and* FF rounds
only to crash and burn like this?! Every single one of his lifelines was wasted
(meaning that *I* knew the answers and I ain't no brainiac) and his age is no
excuse for the Tom Jones question, it was a huge hit and the video continues
to be played. Except for David Cassidy possibly, the only answer could be
Tom, not a chance Tony Bennett or Neil Diamond would cover a Prince song.
*sigh* I'm coming, Reege, I mean, Pamela, hang on!
Cheers,
TD
