(I'd be curious to know what you hosers think of it - and how anyone
who's seen both British and American versions rates the two.)

Bizarrely, there's a UK TV station referred to as YTV from time to time.
It's Yorkshire Television, part of the ITV network, and at least partly
responsible for BPiR.

I should hope it's better than the US version. Boring.
(Granted, I only saw it for the first time last Friday.) What I
really resent is that the contestants were boring.

I didn't think it is that bad. Miserable prizes of course, but that
is par for the course at the BBC.

They officially called themselves YTV on-air for a few months in the
1980s but they found out they were better off with a name rather than letters.
Incidentally children's game shows are now the only ones with ITC
restrictions - the prizes have to be moderate, and cash prizes are
not allowed. Hence the minimum 16 year age limit that applied for
Blockbusters.
