One of these 5 contestants could win up to $500,000 for their charity. The
rest will be benched as round by round they are voted off as...

THE WEAKEST LINK! (NBA FINALS EDITION)
======================================

For this special two-part halftime edition, the rules have changed:

1. Only five contestants, going for $500,000 instead of $1 million
2. Because of rule change #1, only five correct answers are needed to hit the
$100,000 "target" (the chain goes $1,000--$5,000--$10,000--$20,000 and
$100,000)
3. The clock starts at 2 minutes in the first round, 15 seconds are removed in
each round, and only one minute for the Double Round (Round 4)
4. Final Round is best of 3, not 5

Contestants:

Fund
LISA LESLIE, Center for the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks, NABCO

FINAL ROUND (BANKED GRAND TOTAL: $27,000)

Snapper, being 'strongest link' of Round 4, elects to go first

Snapper - Q: Before reverting back to number 23, what number did Michael Jordan
briefly wear when he returned to the NBA in 1995?
A: 45 (correct)
Baron - Q: Which Lenny Kravitz song, that went to #1, was featured in car
commercials for Nissan?
A: "American Woman" (incorrect; "Fly Away")
Snapper - Q: In geography, Four Corners National Monument is on the border of
Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and which fourth state?
A: Nevada (incorrect; Utah)
Baron - Q: Which active NBA player has played in the highest number of playoff
games?
A: A.C. Green (incorrect; Scottie Pippen)
Snapper - Q: What Miami player blocked the most shots during the NBA's
1999-2000 season?
A: [You think I should let Baron have it? He said these questions
are too easy for me...] Alonzo Mourning (correct)

1 2 3
Snapper O X O
Baron X X .

Snapper is the Strongest Link and wins $27,000 for the Jackie Robinson
Foundation!
Baron...leaves...with SOMETHING for his charity...just not 27 "large"!

NOTES:

No money stats...though, even with the grand total double, they'd've been among
the worse team in Weakest Link history.

Again, the time constraints REALLY hurt this show. Not enough time for Anne's
crassness, which is REALLY what makes the show, truth be told. She DID manage
a few quick jabs that would make Laila Ali proud.

Let's hope this is the LAST time they use less than 8 people ever again! It's
just not as much fun with less.

Join us next time for another review of "Weakest Link"...*wink*...good-bye.

ARRRGGGGHHHH....just like on "Millionaire", they can't get a music
question right! While "Fly Away" did hit #1 on some rock-radio format
charts, when you say that it "went to #1" without further explanation,
it implies that it was a #1 pop hit, which "Fly Away" was not. It peaked
at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I've also noticed this on many singles covers, advertised as "The Hit #1
Single!" As an avid Billboard reader (at least the online version), with so
many Billboard charts, they *do* need to be more specific, or don't say
anything at all.
