«««Channel 9 [WCPO-TV in Cincinnati] will replace the low-rated Ananda
Lewis talk show with the syndicated Weakest Link at 10 a.m. April 22.
No Cincinnati station picked up the syndicated show for its Jan. 7 debut,
even though producers did a contestant search here last fall.
George Gray from the Learning Channel's Junkyard Wars is the host.
Weakest Link will air until September, when the new Wayne Brady daytime
show debuts — unless the game show does big ratings. “If it does well,
we'll have to make a decision in the fall about Wayne Brady,” Mr. Fee says.

My own comments: Presumably, this will be a double-run, though
Cincinnatians will be seeing these shows for the first time. (I understand
that reruns are already starting to turn up in WL DR markets where the show did
premirere last January.)
Of course, the show will be going up against Louie Anderson's Family Feud
at 10 a.m. on WKRC-TV, Channel 12, which went to double-run after To Tell the
Truth was cancelled last month…
Unfortunately, the show will be airing on Channel 9 while I'm at work.
Now, of course, I can and will be setting my VCR for it, but my parents were
selected for one of those "Nielson diary" audience surveys some years ago, and
I found that if you tape a show for later viewing in a case such as this, they
count your set as being on, but with no one watching it! (Fat chance,
therefore, of even my videotaping effort helping to keep this show from getting
replaced by Wayne Brady and his bunch on Channel 9 come September!)
Of note: George Gray has indeed been seen on TLC's Junkyard Wars as of
late, but the shows are reruns that first aired over a year ago. After he left
that show last fall to host the syndie WL, it was taken over by Tyler Harcott,
and their next group of reruns that will start on April 17 will be from their
first season, hosted by Robert Llewellyn. (But maybe we can get him back for
Junkyard Dogs, the new version of Junkyard Wars for young people that will
premirere on NBC on Saturday mornings in September!)

(VCR Alert: See George Gray get egg on his face! Watch the rebroadcast of
the Season 4 finale of Junkyard Wars at 9 P.M. Eastern time on TLC this
Wednesday evening 4-10-2002!)

Yeah they are.
Is there any way to find out which shows are reruns and when new ones are
scheduled?
When I originally noted it, it seemed like one of the two shows a day was new.
Now I'm not immediately sure if EITHER is new. (You may say that if I don't
remember it, it's new to me, to use a recent phrase... But usually I watch
half of it THEN realize it's a rerun.. or lately a few of them have had
a "familiar" feel, and they seemed like they were from very early in the run..
but I wasn't sure.)
For some reason, KPIX is now airing one of the daily eps at 2:07 AM,
though at least from the data in my Tivo, they are going back to 3pm and 4pm
either next week or the week after that..
So any info about reruns vs. new episodes would be appreciated! Someone's
always come through with that info about Win Ben Stein's Money in the past.

Unless I'm greatly mistaken, both halves of the double run are currently
reruns. Of course, the first half is rerunning shows that first aired in
the second half, because those episodes are new to the single run
markets. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that's it for new episodes
until September--they've got enough now to get through most of May on the
single run without a repeat.
