Doug Davidson from The New Price is Right (1994) auditioned for American Idol under the alias Douglas Davidson. To avoid people noticing him, his Douglas Davidson persona is a 28-year old student. He looks noticeably younger than his character on The Young and the Restless. To make sure he would be on TV, he was deliberately awful in his audition.
