Sorry if this has been asked a million and one times but what is widely
regarded as the best episode ever? Or the funniest moment etc.

My favourite moments:

S5-14 When Pheobe notices C & M from Ross's new apartment ("my eyes, my
eyes!") and the resulting jumping up and down of Rachel, Ross and
Pheobe.

Ross doing his various entertainment bits in his new apartment (robot,
watching tv etc.) Can't remember which episode.

"Cookie Dude" line when Ross is telling everyone about the NYU dorm
tactics selling cookies (again, can't remember what episode) that line
kills me everytime!

And many many more, most to do with Ross (walking into the open washing
machine door, Frankie Says Relax T-Shirt, being scared by Rachel and
Pheobe and screaming in the one Unagi), even though I think Matthew
Perry is the funniest man on TV.

Some of mine:

The scenes with Chandler/Joey in the transit authority station tryng to
determine which baby is Ben. .
"We have to assign heads to something"

Ross/Rachel (in TOW Ross finds out) when he checks his phone messages from
her apt.

TOW The Football-
The scene where Chandler says "Math??!! You're giving me math?"

TOW All the Kips
The scene where Joey puts 2 and 2 together and realizes Chandler and Monica
are an item.

TOW Ross's New Girlfriend
The scene where Monica realizes Phoebe has cut her hair like Dudley Moore's
not Demi Moore's. .

TOA The Superbowl pt 2-
Monica and Rachel fighting. . . "Did you just FLICK me???!!"

But I generally prefer Ross's scenes the best. .

Mine:

(TOW All The Wedding Dresses)
When Rachel opens the door to Josh(ua) and says: "I do...oooooo".

(Can't remember the ep title)
When Phoebe and the Navy guy are having dinner whilst wearing the oven
mitts. He puts his hands on her ears and speaks but she can't hear anything.

(TOW Ross Got High)
Rachel's whole English trifle scenes just made me pee myself. (not literally
you understand!)

...there are so many more but that'll do for *now*

nose, and Ross' old hair
TOW the Jellyfish- when they confess what happened on the beach
TOW Ross Can't Flirt- when he TRIES to flirt
TOW the Hypnosis Tape- when Gunther smokes: when Rachel keeps taking the
cigarette out of Chandler's mouth
TOW the Tiny T-Shirt- when Chandler jumps on Ross' back, and Ross pulls him
and the Foosball table to the door

Mine, NOT in order.

TOW the proposal, when Chandler actually proposed to Monica. Really
romantic.

TOW the Unagi, where R and P scares Ross and Rachel says "Ah Salmon
skin roll"!

TOW Ross Thing, where Ross ask J and C to watch his thing and Rachel
comes into the room.

How come all of you have missed the very very best moment ever, which
*conveniently* happens to be in the very very best episode ever?

514 "TOW Everyone Finds Out", when Phoebe deduces "God, they
thought they can mess with us! They're trying to mess with us?!
They don't know that we know they know we know!"

That made my cheeks sting, from the tears of laughter.

Ok....here's a couple of mine:

TOW it al began - when Joey says: "I can't believe you didn't know it was a line!!"
and Monica pushes him off of the couch.

TOW the Ick factor - when Rachel dreams of having sex with Chandler and Chandler
lays on the coffeetable in Central Perk and says: "Hello Rachel...."

TOW all the football - Chandler: "...and where do the other Dutch people come from,
Joe? They come from a place called The Netherlands, don't they?"
Joey: "Ha! The Netherlands is a make-believe country where Peter Pan lives."

Monica: "Pheebs...I think I got your cold."
Phoebe: "You mean you STOLE it!"

Chandler: "Where you going?"
Ginger: "Oh...it's nubbin', eeeh nothing!"

Phoebe breaks up the fight between Monica and Rachel and says:
"You know....if we were in prison, you two would be my bitches."

and last but not least.....ofcourse.....

Joey: "There already IS a Joseph Stalin!"
Chandler: " You're kidding!!"

There are a lot more great lines, too many actually, but it's impossible to remember
them all. But what have I won so far? :-))

=+= Marcel =+=

Joey- "There already IS a Joseph Stalin!"
Chandler- " You're kidding!!"

When Ross & Rachel wake up in the museum after they had sex.

When Phoebe flashes Chandler in TOW all the Football, later Chandler's dance,
and the whole Gellar cup storyline. One of my fave eps of all time

When Monica & Phoebe are trying out that leg wax and start screaming ;)

Phoebe singing "You're all invited to bite me!" when Stephanie was singing in
Central Perk, or when she sang "Go to hell Jingle whore, go to hell, go to
hell, go to hell"

Rachel walking in on Monica when she was waiting for Chandler ("I've been
waiting for you..."Oh god Monica please tell me you were waiting for a guy")
haha

Those are just some from the top of my head.

No no no, _one_ of the best moments (can't definitively say, without

There are so, so, so, many hysterical lines but off the top of my head,
from that episode when the girls lose the apartment, Monica's
anguished "NOOOOO!!!!!!!!", not really a line, but definitely a fave
moment! Oh hang on, a fave line from TOW George Stephanopoulos...

Ross: I think I'll just go home and think about my ex-wife and her
lesbian lover.

Joey: To hell with hockey - let's all do that!!!

Cracks me up every time!

Oh! I have so many I can't decide my favourites. but I guess:

TOW all the football:-

the scene when Chandler goes:, 'the inportant thing is.. The Dutch girl picked
me! Me! Not You! Holland loves Chandler! Thank you Amsterdam! Goodnight!!!' I
love that bit!!!!

TOW all the kips:
When Joey finds out, and they push him into the bedroom. hehe

TOW Chandler in a box:
when Chandler is finally allowed out of the box and him and Joey make friends
again.

TOW The monkey
When Joey kisses Chandler

TOW barry and mindys wedding
When Ross kisses Joey

TOW the boobies
All the bits when they try and see the pee pees and the boobies and keep
getting the wrong person. Was this the tag. I haven't seen this episode in
yonks so I don't know

There are so many more but I think if I put the rest down then you'll get bored
of reading Chandler Chandler Chandler Chandler

mines probably either when Chandler moves in with Monica and goes through

when Joey gets a twin Carl, or whatever his name is, goes into Monicas flat

I've noticed that there are a couple of episodes that refer to Amsterdam or Holland.
In TOW the fake Monica they talk about Amsterdam and the fake Monica actually
says "Mag ik deze dans van u?" => "May I have this dance?"
Then there is TOW all the football and there was one more, but I can't come up

No Toni, "There's nothing to tell" WAS the best line in the show ever.

That's because it was the *first* line in the show... ;)

One of my favorites is the Thanksgiving ep just after
M&C started dating, but no one knew. In that ep, they
went back to when Mon was fat and met Chan for the first
time and he said she was fat. Then she went on a diet
and he drooled the following Thanksgiving. She tried
to seduce him using the knife and dropped it, slicing
off his toe.

But that's not the exact best moment for me. It's when
Chan is so upset that she did that because he called her
fat, and he needed to be alone. She went back over to his
apartment with a turkey on her head, threw on the sun-
glasses and started dancing. When he told her he loved
her, THAT, to me was the best moment.

Oh THAT "There's nothing to tell...."
It's a good opening line for a pilot, but not the best line ever.
Just like it's my opinion that season 6 is a little boring and not so funny
as the first five seasons. And that seasons 1 and 2 are the best seasons
yet. With season 3 traling close behind them.

You are missing the point, Marcel.

When Monica said the first line, it WAS the best line ever, because it
was the ONLY line that had ever been said.

TOW The Prom Video:
When Rachel walks across the room to kiss Ross

TOW Ross' Wedding when we see Monica in bed with Chandler.

TOW The Kips:
When Joey figures it out.

The very first line in the show, the whole thing, the series, the pilot,
the first sentence that anybody anywhere had ever heard on "Friends"...

Season One, Episode One, Scene One, Line One.

Okay Marcel. When the series began on 22nd September 1994 with a pilot
episode, the title music played, and then we saw a coffee house inside
which were two women & two men engaged in conversation.

The dark-haired woman, whose name was Monica Geller, opened her mouth
and said the sentence "There's nothing to tell".

At that moment it was the only line that had ever been said in the show,
so it was the funniest line ever, the saddest line ever, the shortest line
ever, the longest line ever, the worst line ever, and the best line ever.

Why do you keep saying it was the only line said in the show?
It was the *first* line of the show. There were more lines in that show, but that one
was the first.

Wow, what a load of responses!
Everyone seems to love different things, but I was pleasently suprised
that many people find Ross so funny. During the start to middle of
Series 6 I think he totally held the show together.
Generally I think Series 4 is known as the poorest season, but a poor
Friends season is still better than anything on TV, and as for a good
Friends season...

"The One Where Everyone Finds Out" gets my overall vote as the best
episode ever, and many of you seem to like it too. It has everything,
great romance, absolutely hilarious, and just totally superb basically!

If any of you have time, just send an email to
sec...@ministryofsound.net
with your favourite episode in the header, and in a week I will get
back to you all and tell you what is generally regarded as the best
episode.

I'm not saying that at all.

And WHEN the first line was said, how many lines had been said?

One.

And that one line was the best ever line, because at that moment in
time, no other line had been said. The 2nd line, the 100th line, and
the other 45000 lines, were all still in the future.
