I will never fail to be astounded at how incredibly *stupid* the
British media are, especially TV Plus on Teletext. They've somehow
managed to split the National Enquirer article from weeks ago into two
rumours - one that David and Lisa are *both* leaving, which we've
established isn't true already, and now just that Lisa is leaving,
with a supposed "quote" (meaning she didn't say it, but it was written
so it *must* be true) saying that she's just had enough. The
tell-tale sign that it's false is that they say Reese Witherspoon will
probably replace Lisa... uh-uh, ain't gonna happen - if they knew
*anything* about upcoming plotlines they'd *know* that.

Grrrrrr... I can think of names for the people who come up with these
hair-brained ideas, but they're best reserved for others.

Well said! I read that very thing on teletext this morning, and I have
to say I lost my faith in humanity (and teletext!) :)
Basically, they accuse Sky of fueling the previous rumour, but what are
they doing now?

Okies, here goes, I got the proper info on this:

It appears that Lisa DID say she'd had enough, she wanted out, blah
blah blah. BUT, and it is a *big* but, she later retracted that
comment, saying she had been caught on a bad day, and isn't really
headed off the show - she said when retracting the comment that she
will definitely be around for at *least* another year.

>: I don't know... :)

They're all as bad as one another. And to think I'm going to have to
deal with this bunch of insufferable... prats at some point. :(

I don't see why people are making such a big fuss over whether the show
will continue... I seem to remember the same sort of thing happening
last time they were due to re-negotiate contracts.

I think that's exactly it, actually.
