What other Friends episode(s) was Hank Azaria in?

Just wondering...apparently Hank Azaria (formerly of "Mad About You") was in a
previous episode of Friends (since he was Phoebe's old boyfriend), but I don't
remember him. Which episodes was he in? I certainly didn't remember him in
any Friends eps last year.

He was in the earlier series. He was a scientist who Pheobe met because he
was talking during one of her songs in centeral perk. He left to go to Minsk
in Russia.

That would be Hank himself, and not either of his NBC characters. :-)

The ep. was on last night . . David was supposed to be in Minsk for only
3 years, though - why'd he only return last week?

Ah, that's where I should know him from, only remembered The Simpsons.

He left in ep 110 (TOW the Monkey) on 1995-01-01 for /three/ years to
Minsk and reappeared in 711 (TOW All the Cheesecakes, aired
2001-04-01) for a few days.
