A week or two ago someone on the Newsgroup or Mailing List was asking
about the still life painting in Frasier's apartment, seen screen right,
piano alcove, near the kitchen and corridor entry to Daphne's room.

I was speaking a few minutes ago with a friend who occasionally watches
"Frasier" (he had watched the two-episode finale last Tuesday) and who
is an art historian. He mentioned the knock-off Picasso still life in
Frasier's apartment and I recalled the question from a while back.
Picasso is not his own specialty, though my friend stated the painting
was definitely a copy or 'manner-of-Picasso' done-to-order for the
program's set decorators.

My friend is not on the Internet, but has several friends who are and
expressed extreme alarm at the proliferation of COMPLETELY INACCURATE
information (never mind typos and spelling errors!) in art/historical
related websites he has encountered. He was particularly concerned that
information on the web is widely accepted as correct by a large number
of current generation art history students AND professors. [His own
credentials include degrees from the University of Toronto and Yale
University (Ph.D from the latter).]
