FOREVER KNIGHT NEWS and SCI FI SCHEDULE

Unfortunately, there is no Forever Knight Schedule for July and August.
The Sci Fi Channel is presenting their special summer programing instead.
Forever Knight will return in September.

NIGEL BENNETT NEWS:

Forever Knight vampire and director, Nigel Bennett, will pull double duty
in a romantic comedy for the BIG screen. He will star in and direct a film
written by Michelle LeFleur (Raindance2) and Rosemaria Memoli (StregaRo).
The film, "AN ENGLISHMAN IN NEW YORK" is presently in the stage of casting
and pre-production.

For more information, visit the Labyrinth Entertainment in association
with Kaos Productions Inc. web site: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/einy/

MAMA VAMP:

A longtime Forever Knight fan -- known by her many friends on the FK
boards and Lists as Mama Vamp, has had a rough start to the summer of '97.

Her friend and fellow Forever Knightie, DanaKnight (Judy Freudenthal) has
asked me to forward this message from Mama Vamp to all of you.

FWD:
On May 30 at about 11:30 p.m I was on my way to work. I work graveyard at
a Kinko's in San Francisco. I was on the freeway (280 North), when my
transmission pooped out and I came to a stop.

I was pissed off! I was already running late. Now I have to call Kinko's
and tell them I've had car trouble. I'll have to call AAA to come pick up
my car, and I'll have to call my 81 year old mother to come and get me.

So I checked my lights to make sure they were flashing, then was reaching
between the two bucket seats for my car phone when BAM!!! someone hit me
from behind.

It's a good thing I had no idea how hard I'd been hit or I'd have gone
into shock right then and died. I was hit at 70 mph by a 22 year old kid
who'd been drinking.

To make a long story short, I lost over 5 litters of blood (they kept
cleaning it and returning it to my own body) before they could stabilize
all the internal bleeding. They removed my spleen and repaired my
lacerated liver.

Once stabilized, they repaired my crushed right hip and rebuilt it.

A CAT Scan revealed a cracked vertebra. Vertebra T12 if anyone cares to
know. It's more or less directly behind your belly button. They have yet
to identify all the cracked ribs I have. When someone asks me where it
hurts I just say "take your pick!"

I AM EXTREMELY LUCKY TO BE ALIVE.

I am also lucky that I could move my toes, otherwise I would be confined
to a wheel chair or worse for the rest of my life. Instead, the prognosis
is 100%. It may take 6 months or more, but I will be as good as new
eventually.

If anyone would like to contact me (I miss so many of you), it would be
best if you could snail mail me as I don't normally have access to a
computer yet.

You can write me at Hillsdale Extended Care Hospital, 101 So. San Mateo
Dr., 4th Floor, San Mateo, CA 94401.

I'll be here for a couple of weeks I think.

By the way, the physical therapists already have me up and walking around
for short intervals. I'm gonna be OK sooner than I sometimes think.

Her name is Cathi Strickland, aka Mama Vamp.

Thanks!!

LASTLY:

A little tease! A spokesman from the Sci Fi Channel has said that they are
considering doing a Motion Picture based on one of the following shows:

Forever Knight
Quantum Leap
Battlestar Galactica

Two of their most popular series are "Quantum Leap" and "Battlestar
Galactica." Since they have just purchased the rights to the show that
won't die, "Sliders", I question whether they could even attempt to do
Battlestar Galactica. The special effects would be very expensive. This
leaves "Quantum Leap" and "Forever Knight", although I would bet that
there are others in the running too. Soooooo, lets cross our fingers and
keep sending those letters to THE SCI FI CHANNEL.

That's all for now. And hey, get well Cathi.
