Some part of my distorted psyche wants to tell you that this arrussippee
was, in some small way, sort of a success. But alas, it is not so.

After 7 full hours (one hour on high, 6 hours on low), this slo-kukker
dish is, as we expected, not good. However, I am pretty sure there are
more than a few Fandras in the world who will disagree with me. Even I
have to admit that the taste of this wasn't totally gag-worthy. But I
say that with some reservations, which I will explain below.

I followed Shamdra's recipe almost to the letter. Only two
substitutions: Italian Shake n Bake, instead of Garlic and Herb; and
Lipton Mushroom and Onion Soup, instead of Beefy Onion. My regular
groshury store didn't have the stated ingredients, and I didn't think my
substitutions would make much difference. Nothing will ever convince me
that I was wrong about this. There are just too many artificial and
chemical ingredients in this to make a difference. One thing I DID gag
about? When I added the Shake n Bake to the meat, it smelled HORRIFIC,
and I was almost ready to call it quits right then. I said out loud to
myself....Why am I using this nuclear package of crumbs when it is so
wonderful to make and smell FRESH bread crumbs? I will go to my grave
knowing that Shamdra had a gag look on her face when she tasted this
meat mess. There is NO WAY she would serve this to anybody or eat it
herself. Guaranteed, that one bite she took on camera was the ONLY taste
she EVER had of this so-called food.

A Big Reservation: After 7 hours, and letting it "set up" for about 30
minutes....and with my son as witness that I swore it would look RAW
when I cut the first slice....guess what. It looked almost raw. Half
cooked. The meat was pink, as you will see when I figure out how to
upload the photos to Picasa and share them with you. Now I'm not totally
against rare meat. Especially sort-of-pink pork, now that we know that
is not dangerous if it is cooked to the right temperature. But after 7
HOURS I expected the meat to look COOKED. Not pink at all. I really
hesitated even tasting it, but I did. If you never hear from me again,
you will know why.

Surprisingly, because of the total SALT LICK that this dish is, it
didn't taste all that salty. (Although, I have been drinking many
glasses of water since my first taste.) The "sauce" was definitely
greasy, but not as bad as I thought. I am so proud of the Potatoes
O'Brien!! They held up amazingly well in the bottom of the slo-kukker!
Of course I attribute this to their being of Irish descent, since I am
too. We are a tough breed and stand up well to the most adverse
conditions.

I don't know what else to share with you at this time, except to say
that I will try to get the photos uploaded ASAP and post the link. And a
heartfelt warning: Attempt this arrussippee at your own risk. DO NOT, at
all cost, believe anything Shamdra tells you on her shows. She's a liar
and a ho. And a danger to society. I can't believe The Food Network lets
her get away with it.

It's definitely NOT elegant, but here are my photos. Try not to gag.

Here I am! I survived the experience of this horrible recipe and am
wondering...what was I thinking?? I knew it would be terrible. I can't
look at my own photos of this mess without gagging. My real survival
though is because I did not eat a full serving of this dish. Not even
half a serving! I only took a bite of the meat and a spoonful of the
sauce. Enough to know that it certainly did taste as bad as it looked.

The total cost of this was $24.80. I really want to take a flamethrower
to it, like Bill C said, but I'm going to slice the meat blob, cook the
slices under the broiler, and make some meatloaf sandwiches to take to
work tonight. It probably sounds so wrong that I would do this to my
co-workers, but some of them will be delighted that it's a Sandra Lee
recipe! I will definitely tell them it's from SLop, because I don't want
to take ANY of the credit.

It will be a lllllong time before I attempt any more of SHAMdra's
recipes. I just can't cook with all those semi-ho ingredients.

Thank you, Shrikes, for letting me share this experience with you!

There are no words... but give me a minute. Nope, nothing's coming.
Except that Jim Lilek should be writing
something about this insane bitch in his next reaming of horrible

crimes against humanity.

I can't believe you even took a bite of that for any reason. It looks
like it's already been eaten.... swimming in all that grease, oh man.

Was SLop on today? I was looking forward to a break from making
arrangements with hospice today.

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.

If it was, my DVR missed it. There was a new semi-delicioso.

It was a repeat featuring her remake of the 21 burger. It didn't look
any better the second time around.

Heh. I heard that "21 Club"(?) was not too happy about SLop slandering
their food on this one!

Especially since her premise of remaking them is how expensive they
are in the restaurant.

I am really curious about the restaurant remake shows she did with
recipes from Mario, Bobby, Emeril and Tyler. The way she talked about
how they would make them and how they were such good friends to share
their recipes with her...had to make some eyes roll.

AIEEEEE! *MY EYES-they burn*

I was with you until the white mess with shrooms photo. I swear I can
smell that stench over thru the internet.

What the hell is all that yellow crap in the bottom? Grease? I can't
believe the beef/pork combo could generate that much..

You are a MUCH brave person that me to even taste that.

The sad part of that recipe, if it was served in a prison, there'd be
riots.

Bat-->off to bleach the eyes and get the brain floss....Oy......
