I can picture a parody of that sort of thing, but I can't remember what
show it was.

soon the cook is quite drunk, always taking a lot more than he put into
the cooking.

Well, even Julia Child was not above taking a nip, and there may have
been a Lucy show or two where that happened, so it's more of a classic
