For me the main problem with felicity is that the show focuses to much
on her. I know the show is about her, but there is potential for a
strong ensemble show, , but the creators are too concerned about how to
relate each thing that happens to her, It was good in the first season,
because we got to know her, bt now, its dull because its always about
felicity. I mean what happened to elena, he 'best friend?' I think
richard has had more lines this season. Maybe tangie miller has other
committments, so that could be a reason, but if they keep hte lens of
keri too much, the show starts to get stale, as it has.

Oh yeah, the other problem is that there are never any new damn
episodes, and the never reply the pilot!

Which is weird since the show is called "Felicity's Friends."

With 22 episodes per year you're going to get many stopgaps.

>and the never reply the pilot!

This was almost coherent.

my original post addressed this. I know she is the main character,
hoever, the other characters are neglected because there is too much
focus on her- as i said, a strong ensemble drama is sacrificed for the
sake of one character. No person is an island unto themselves, i think
the show would do better if it reflected this.

i realize that, what i am saying ois that there have been too few new
episodes- they only air them during sweeps- thats why hte shows ratings
are plummeting. I don't even bother to check if its a new episode
anymore, i feel that the creators are not willing to make an investment
in entertaining their audience, why should i waste my time.

whoops- 'replay' the pilot

Well look we have this Noel/Ruby thing, the Sean/Julie thing, and the
Ben/Maggie thing. All things that didn't revolve around Felicity. I think you
need to look for these things.

My point is that Felicity has less episodes per season than most shows.
Remember the gaps last year? They were the exact same ones we're experiencing
now.

Well if you like the show, you put up with it. I wish there were more episodes
too but maybe they wouldn't be able to keep up the quality if there were.
Remember, in the beginning of the season we had nine episodes nearly every
week. As May approaches that phenomenon will repeat again. That's going to cut
a whole hell of a lot of new episodes from the middle of the season.

I think she is dating another straight "A" pre-med black student at a
mostly white college. Seriously. He is her lab partner.

The show has always been about Felicity, Noel and Ben first
and everyone else second. (Greg, Julie and Elena.)

The four main plots are 1) Felicity dates someone, how do
Ben and Noel react? 2) Noel dates someone, how does
Felicity react? 3) Ben dates someone, how does Felicity
react? and 4) Felicity or her parents act weird.

The four secondary plots are 1) Julie does something,
2) Elena does something, 3) Greg does nothing and
4) Megan/Megahn cuts someone down.

I could point out that 22 is a big number when you only have
10 fingers but I won't. After all you said 22 in a previous post.

But West Wing, Dawson's Creek, NYPD Blue, Judging Amy
are scheduled to have 22 episodes this year. It is the current
standard number of new episodes per year for dramas and has
been for several years.

Yes. The first-run episodes are concentrated in the beginning
of the season and the sweeps months of November, February
and May. This is true of all shows that stay on the air
52 weeks a year.
