Anybody else recall an episode in which Roy gets spit in the eyes by a
cobra( of course Johnny comes to his aid by washing his eyes out in a
sink)? I don't believe Tvland has shown this one, they must have skipped
it. Anybody know the name of this episode? Just courious.

Hi Denise -

I checked on E&R's Episode Guide page and found the following:

Transition
Script #40621; Episode #4.15; Airdate: 1/4/1975
Writer: John Groves; Director: George Fenady
Guest Cast: Colby Chester, Elisabeth Brooks, Lora Kaye, Joyce Davis, James
Chandler.
Story: A former high school classmate of Johnny's is assigned as the squad's
new paramedic trainee and finds the transition a little overwhelming. A man is
bitten by a cobra, another man has a heart attack, and Roy is hit in the eye
with cobra venom. The firemen rescue a man trapped in his kitchen and have to
deal with hydrogen-sulfide. The Squad responds to two calls at an amusement
park.

This page is invaluable... at least to me. I'd keep it bookmarked!

E&R's page is very important to me as well...I printed the whole list of
episodes, put them in a duotang and refer to it daily as I watch E!..

Also, it was the trainee (John's old class mate) that saved Roy and
immediately started to wash out his eyes

I don't watch an episode without the episode guide in front of me. Since I
started taping and cataloging the episodes it has become my bible. <G>

I have seen all the shows of Emergency and the only snake I remember was when
Johnny
gets bitten by a rattlesnake.

Transition is the episode were Roy gets Cobra venom in his eyes. It has not
been on TVLand yet. John and Roy have a trainee with them and he uses a glass
ashtray to protect his face and sprays the snake with a fire extinguisher.
Johnny helps Roy to rinse out his eyes.
I think this is the one where the trainee is an old friend of Johnny's.

Actually, there were *several* episodes in which snakes were present.

Just one in which My Beloved is bitten..

A rubber one which ended up in my office, on my chair or under my desk, more
than once!

Hannah-

one of the guys that I worked with did the same to me and I went up to him with
an envelope that was labled "snake eggs"
inside was a contraption of some type with a paper clip and elastic. When it
was set off, it sounded just like a rattler! he screamed louder than I did!!
