In past discussions of this subject I hear some say could be mountain climbing,
could be skiing, could be who knows. When I went to http://www.askjeeves.com
up came the information. Only the basics and nothing more than the basics. No
full out details but one question is now solved.

Feburary 20, 1983
James G. Richardson, (Tim Cassidy-Sierra)
dies at 37 in ski accident

This may serve to explain why they used a different actor to play his character
in "The Greatest Rescues Of Emergency" when they were giving out the
promotions.

No, it doesn't - he was still very much alive at that time. However, that was
roughly the point in time the movie 'One On One' was filming (which he had a
part in) and he might well have been busy.

I don't have a problem that another actor played Brice, but they changed his
race, very strange.

Unable to confirm but there is rumor he accompanied a team back to Vietnam in search of POWs left behind. Last seen entering the depths of the Ia Drang Valley headed west towards Laos they were never seen again.

All involved left behind cover stories to explain any possible extreme unfortunate circumstances. Further details unavailable. Very fortunate to have come across as much as has been found so far.
