Hey y'all,

Got the results from that pub quiz this evening. We won! :o))

Anyway, I thought you might like to know who those people in the pictures were.
Number 1 was indeed Paul Newman - thanks to everyone who said that! Number 2
was Winona Ryder, as you all said. Number 3 was Mikey Graham from Boyzone, and
I'm now kicking myself for not getting that one (I knew I recognised him from
somewhere!). Number 4 was the local town crier, so I'm not surprised nobody got
that one. Number 5 was Walter Ulbricht. Number 6 was Peter Ustinov. Number 7
was Charlie Dimmock (although I don't think it looks anything like her - it
looks more like a bloke!). And number 8 was indeed Pandit Nehru.

I also have the answers to the quiz questions, so if anyone wants to know any
of the answers, just ask!

- Annie Vox :o)

Keeper of Fraser's innocence, his beautiful blue eyes, and the little quiff in
his hair. Also Keeper of "I said ELVES, you moron - ELVES!" ***If I'm not
posting to alt.tv.due-south, this sig is accidental!!***

Dunno about anyone else, but I was very curious about the answers to the
quiz questions.

Well, the ones I remember wanting to know was the one about the Roman wars

Oh, well it turns out there was a typing error in the question paper and they
really wanted to know which wars happened between 101-106 AD (not BC), but
since most people had researched the BC dates, they accepted the Servile Wars.

<<and also was a bit curious about the island on which Prince Charles landed?>>

It was Islay.
