Dragnet was on the radio from 1949-1957. The first TV series ran from
1951-1959. Another series aired from 1967-1970. Then, as most of us
know, in 2003, Ed O'Neill (Married With Children) and Ethan Embry
("Freakylinks" and "Work With Me") starred in the Dragnet movie as Lt.
Joe Friday and Detective Frank Smith, respectively.

I grew up watching the original Dragnet and I've almost never liked
remakes so I haven't seen the movie.
