According to tonight's episode, it's in a state that doesn't have the
death penalty ... so the Housewives live in
Alaska, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North
Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or the
District of Columbia.
I'm pretty sure we can eliminate ND, IA, HI, MN, WI, WV, AK and DC,
which leaves us with MA, ME, RI, VT or MI. So, which is it?

Definitely not Maine, probably not MA or VT either judging from the climate.
Plus, as a Maine native, I can tell you the culture, clothing, houses,
foliage, and choice of cars are not typical of ME or VT. Suburban Boston
or Southeastern MA is a possibility, except for the foliage. I always
assumed it was in California or Texas, so don't know what to tell you about
the death penalty issue.

The Van De Camps home also appears in 'Burbs with Tom Hanks. One house
on that street is never shown because it was the Munsters "home".

Actually the new characters who arrived at the end of last night's
episode are moving into the Munsters home. It's in between Gabrielle's
home and Susan's home. It does look different from the other homes, but
at the same time the neighborhood's homes are all quite different from
each other.

That's the Young's house. And it was the house used for the Leave it to
Beaver movie that bombed, not the original TV show.
