Gerald, might I suggest you do something more constructive than trying to
reason with this critter?
How about walking on hot needles?

Yeah, but Gisele will actually acknowledge your comments - this one will just
keep trolling

Not to keep the rant going, but you do understand there was no connection
between 9/11 and Iraq, right? Bush's campaign leaders have done an
excellent job of redirecting attention from Afganistan to Iraq. Fact: SH
only had the desire to obtain weapons of mass destruction, he did not have
any. Fact: There is not proof SH had anything to do with OBL. Fact: SH
was a shitty leader that used hi people to get what he wants, just like many
other dictators and pseudo-dictators still at large. The elections are over
and Bush has been reelected. The best we can hope for at this point is that
he doesn't take the "what have I got to lose approach" to policy making.
Like a bad storm, we'll just have to see what happens after.
With best regards, Joker. E-mail: post_...@sbcglobal.net
Ok, now I remember why I had killfiled you. Now you're comparing me to
trolls and suggesting I'm a lesser troll.......lol. Back in the killfile
you go.

Thanks Nat. I do respect people's opinions and take them into
consideration but taking the time to reply to him I see now was a waste of
time. Oh well...

Yes and no. There was no direct connection, however 9/11 was
perpetrated by terrorists. Terrorism is caused chiefly by instability
in the middle east. Saddam was a big contributor to that instability.
Therefore, I believe removing Saddam was a good move if you're trying to
eradicate terrorism. The Palestinian issue is another. That will have
to be resolved before terrorism goes away or at least get marginalized.
Bush is pursuing the two-state plan which I think is the ultimate
solution. Now that Arafat is on his deathbed, perhaps we can move
forward on that issue.

What color is the sky in your world? Iraq wan't unstable. Saddam was a
strong ruler who kept religious zealots at bay. He knew if he gave Al
Quida a foothold in Iraq that his survival was in jeapordy. By
removing Saddam we opened Pandora's Box and proved to the extremists
all of the rhetoric they have been preaching about the US. They are
not shaking in their boots because we invaded Iraq. Remember, the only
thing that unites the Arabs is their hatred of Israel and those who
support them. If Israel didn't exist they would be fighting each
other. Terrorism will not go away as long as Arab countries are
monarcies or imposed supposed democracy. If we really let these
countries citizens vote they would elect a theocracy. Their idea of
freedom is being able to practice their religion without interference
from anyone. They don't want to live with people who don't believe the
way they do. To impose our version of freedom on them is counter to
their beliefs and they will fight it to the death.
So basically you're saying that we should allow them to go on being bigoted
and closed-minded to other points of view because that is their cultural
belief system. How come you lefties don't use that same criteria when you
criticize Christian conservatives within your own nation? How come you
lefties had no problem imposing your beliefs on the Southerners during the
Civil Rights Era? Let's be consistent here. If anti-religion and
multiculturalism is what Southern Whites need, then surely it's what Arab
Muslims need.
I didn't say we shouldn't try to change their view. I just think it's
foolish to do so at the end of a gun.

Yes, what he's saying is that they should be entitled to the same
priviledges all you Bushies enjoy. :)
Seriously, the US didn't invade their country to bring them
enlightenment. The troops were sent in because Bush believed the country
was in imminent danger from WMD. If Bush had gone to Congress and asked
to invade Iraq because they required "cultural enlightenment", only half
of Congress would have given approval (I'm not saying Bush pulled a fast
one on Congress -- I do genuinely believe he saw what he wanted to see
rather than the truth, but I don't think Bush attempted to deceive. That
being said, I don't think Bush really cares that he was wrong, either).
Why are you having such a tough time with this one? We don't want other
countries dicking around with our culture.....
