This is off-topic, but we did talk about Ja'Nel recently in this newsgroup.

Unbelievable! Talk about screwing up! But $250,000 isn't a bad prize
either.

It's a shame they couldn't offer the job to the runner up, but even if
they had thought of that, didn't Ramsey say Mary wasn't ready to be a
head chef and run the kitchen?

Well they only give out one prize, and since Ja'Nel is allowed to keep the
$250,000, there wouldn't be any prize money left over to pay someone else to
be head chef. Same thing happened the year Heidi couldn't take the head
chef job due to the visa problem - she was allowed to take the money and no
one got the job.

What I don't understand is how did Ja'Nel get on the show in the first
place. You would think all contestants would have to pass a physical and
drug test before they could get on the show to avoid this exact problem.
Unless, of course, she didn't start using until after she filmed the show,
which would really be odd.

I liked that guy that was in the final 3. Forget his name though. There go
the brain cells again! Sheeesh!

That would be Jon. He was my second favorite after Ja'Nel. I thought he
and Ja'Nel should have been final two. They were both a lot more
experienced than Mary, whose primary background was as a butcher.

That's it. Jon. Especially towards the end of the competiton, he seemed
somehow more mature than the other contestants. Seemed he would have made a
good chef for Gordon Ramsay to train in his restaurant.

Wasn't it John? I think he was the only guy left for a while.

Speaking of Hell's Kitchen winners, I saw Rock a while back on a food
network show called Chef Wanted competing for a job as head chef in some
upscale restaurant. He got the job in the end, but decided not to take
it.

Yep, that's who it was. I liked him. Was pulling for him to win.
