I was just wondering if anyone had been on the NBC Studios Tour in
Burbank, CA? It's supposed to show some of the sets of Days of our
Lives, Salem Place, and other stuff as well. If you have been to it, is
it any good? Did you meet anyone from Days? And, does anyone know how
old Philip (Jay Johnson) is? If the tour is good, I might go since I
live only 15 minutes away. Thanks a lot. Tiffany Padilla

I took the tour in '96, and while it showed Salem Place, the actual
sets were closed due to taping, so we couldn't see that. I didn't
watch the show then, but I think the Java place was Johnny Rockets
when I was there. It's VERY small, Salem place. ;) It's right before you
get to the parking lot. Amazing how everything looks so huuuuuge on
television. :)

We did meet up with a couple of actors, and I believe if I'm
remembering right that the woman who plays Caroline Brady was one of them.
I can't remember who the other two we met were.

It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours. It's better than the
studio tour at NBC in New York, but only because so many more things
are done out there. We did get to see the Tonight show studio, though
we didn't have a chance to go to the show that night.

Yeah, I took it last year. Horrible experience. The tram operator had a
heart attack and crashed into the Drake Hogestyn Fan Pavillion. Thank God it
was empty or it could have been a catastrophe.

The tour is great. The actors were out to lunch the day I went so we got to
see inside one of the soundstages. I saw Roark Critchlow while I was there.
I'm going to L.A. in a few weeks and the NBC tour is the first on my list.

'Lie'? That's a bit harsh. 'Joke' is more like it. It was a sarcastic
comment. Get it? Fan pavillion? Empty?

Easy cowboy, I got it. It even made me laugh. I did say I was entertained
didn't I? No need to get your chaps all in a bunch.
