JAMES REILLY WILL RETURN TO 'DAYS OF OUR LIVES' AS HEAD WRITER

BURBANK - NBC is thrilled to announce the renewal of its long-running
daytime drama "Days of our Lives" through May 2009 and the return of James
Reilly as head writer. The announcement was made earlier today by Jeff
Zucker, President, NBC Entertainment.

"'Days of our Lives' has entertained millions of loyal fans for over 37
years, all of them on NBC. We're delighted to continue the partnership with
Corday Productions and Sony Pictures Television for another five years. We're
also excited for James Reilly to return as head writer on 'Days,'" said
Sheraton Kalouria, Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, NBC
Entertainment.

NBC's "Days of our Lives," which turned 37 in November 2002, first premiered
as a half-hour drama in 1965 and expanded to an hour 10 years later. Today,
it remains a consistent favorite among viewers of daytime television
serials. In the valuable women 18-34 category, "Days" is #1 for the season
with an average 3.0/19. In fact, "Days of our Lives" has won 405 of the last
407 weeks in this category. Among overall total viewers, "Days" has averaged
4.2 million persons this season. It is the powerhouse of NBC's soap opera
lineup and a true classic in television history.

In its 37 years, "Days of our Lives" has generated numerous Emmy Awards and
nominations, as well as numerous "Soap Opera Digest" Awards and People's
Choice Awards. The show's success derives from its consistent commitment to
excellence in writing and storytelling - supported by a diverse ensemble of
performers - and an uncanny knack for anticipating viewer interests. From
demonic possessions and baby switches to exciting teen stories and classic
love triangles, "Days of our Lives" remains a perennial favorite among
viewers of all ages.

"Days of our Lives" is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association
with Sony Pictures Television. Executive producer, Ken Corday, is following
in the tradition of his parents, Betty and Ted Corday, who co-created "Days
of our Lives" and helmed the series for many years. Steve Wyman is also
Co-Executive Producer. In addition to his duties on "Days of our Lives,"
James Reilly will continue to serve as head writer on NBC's other daytime
drama "Passions," which Reilly created.
