What happened to Neil Curtis?

I know he was married to Liz and had an affair with Amanda(played by the
woman who just died and was Newhart's wife on the Vermont show) He might
have been involved with Kim, also, but I can't remember where he went.
Didn't he have a gambling or drinking problem.. I think I remember something
about that.

If I remember correctly, it had to do with Sarah.. Sarah thought he was
having an affair with Maggie... Sarah drugged him, took pictures of them
in bed together and sent it to the tabloid....Maggie had to tell Sarah
that Neil was her father, to clear his name...
(Maggie had been artificially inseminated. Dr.Curtis was the donor..)
Mickey and Maggie broke up for awhile.. And Neil --- well--- he just
went to check a patient and never was heard of again...
I don't remember Kimberly being involved at all...
