A chastity belt to protect her from WHOM? She should wear a hockey mask
to protect her face from being attacked by DOOL's makeup artists.

shut up! Her dumbassed hubby doesn't have the right not to let her do her
work. She should kick his slimy Y&R ass to the curb! If she found Jason Brooks
a better man than the one she's married to then she should have stayed with him
Can someone explain to me what you guys are talking about? What
exactly happened here. I guess I don't know!! ?!

Even if she messed around with Jason Brooks, she's not an
indentured servant unto her husband. I'm sure they made the
decision TOGETHER. That's part of what the union of marriage is
about. No one "owns" the other and "allows" or "disallows" if
it's a functional partnership.
This "Scott let her" crap is really neanderthal. When I hear
women (or men) speak that way.... "he won't LET me"... or "I
won't LET her" a siren goes off and I know immeadiately that the
communication isn't balanced in the relationship and they are
losing or have completely lost already what it means to be your
partner's one true sense of foundation and support.
If he loves her, Jason is no longer on the show, and it's what
makes her happy, his selflessness will override his doubts.
That's the price of love. You put your doubts and your feelings
aside for the sake of the other, even when they've hurt you
because you believe in strength and longevity more than you care
to feed thoughts of doubt and memories of suffering.
No man (except my father when I still lived with him) has EVER
said to me "No! I won't LET you do that!) and no man ever will.
There is a HUGE difference between SUGGESTING against something
and flat out DISALLOWING it.
A partnership is just like Bono from U2 says: "Love is a temple.
Love's a higher law. We're ONE, but we're not the SAME. We've
got to CARRY each other." To prohibit means you've exerted FORCE
against the one you love. That's not a marriage, quite frankly.
That's a SHAM.

That's about it.
Bonbon
sure
The way she treated Days??!?! It's a job. How does who she
sleeps with play into that if her job performance was up to
standards on the job? Tons of people meet at the work place and
go on to spend their entire lives together. Unless DOOL had it
in her contract that she could never date/partake in intercourse
with a co-star, she didn't treat them wrongly as far it it seems
to me.
If the employer doesn't have a clause in the employee handbook
or the contract concerning the issue, it's their OWN fault just
as much as it is hers for surprising them with what she and
Jason Brooks did. I don't think it's highly professional (or
emotionally wise)to sleep with co-workers, but that's just MY
philosophy. There are people in my workplace at the present who
date and (presumably) have sex with one another. Two of my
former department members from 1995 dated and are now married
and living in Texas. If it's not disencouraged in the employee
policies, no one can blame you later on, IMO.
My former boss was interested in me for an entire year and I
pretended to not notice for the sake of morale, seeing as how I
had more than one manager. I left my position and took a new one
with another company, ran into him at a shopping mall months
later, we dated and we winded up living together later on.
People meet at work and sometimes it's a "love connection". It's
inevitable. If it ain't against code, there's nothing anybody
can say about it.

It wasn't her work she was doing. It was her co-star. That was the problem.

Jason Brooks was a booty call. She chose to stay home like a dutiful wife,
take care of the children, clean the house, have food on the table and keep
her man happy in the bedroom whenever he wants it.
For those of you not fully aware of the situation....Melissa Reeves was
caught by her husband having an affair with Jason Brooks right there in her
dressing room on the set of Days Of Our Lives. At first she claimed she had
temporary amnesia and forgot they were married or who she even was. When he
failed to believe her, she then claimed that she was really Melissa Reeves
twin sister, you know, the bad one. He didn't buy that story either. Scott,
who is much smaller than Brooks, flew into a violent rage and beat Brooks
unconscious, took Melissa by the hand, forced her to go home and make the
choice: stay at home and repair the family, or go back to DrOOL with
loverboy and risk a divorce in which he *should* get full custody of the
child (they've since had a 'make-up' baby.).
The tabloids picked up on the story but never mentioned anything about the
Mexican circus midget who was involved at one time with both Melissa and
Jason; it was a menage a' two and a half. The tabloids blacked out that
angle of the story; it was as if Fernando didn't exist.
Melissa was a major daytime star. She suddenly disappeared. She called the
producers the very next day and said she would never be back in. That's got
to raise more than a few eyebrows and questions. She continued on to say
that it was over. She couldn't come back to work. She needed to concentrate
on her family life. That was all well and good until she eventually tried to
go work on a CBS show about 2 years later. Up to that point, NBC had not
pursued legal action against her for not fulfilling her contract. Why? Well,
they didn't want to embarass the girl anymore than was absolutley necessary.
They knew why she quit. But as long as there were more years left on that
contract, they weren't going to allow her to go work for a competing
network. Abso-diddly-lute-ly not! And I agree with them. Now that her
contract appears to have run out with NBC, she's probably eligible to go
work on another show. If I were the girlfriends or wives of any of the male
actors on any daytime show, i'd be nervous.
But to address the real issue here that gets so many femitwits up in arms on
this newsgroup....Did Scott have the right to force Melissa to make a
decision about what her priorities were? Absolutely. And he was well within
his rights to make sure she never put herself back into temptation by
insisting she quit that job. After all, if you are an alcoholic, going back
into bars makes no sense. She needed sexual sobriety. That meant having to
stay away from Jason Brooks, whom no one could figure out why hadn't gone
into porn (one of Melissa's last ditch efforts to explain her unfaithfulness
to Scott, according to court documents, was: "I don't quite think you know
how large it is Scott!"). A few years later Brooks finally did start doing
soft-core porn on a show called "Baywatch".
Meanwhile, all's well that ends well. Scott and Melissa are the official two
parent nuclear family. They have 2 kids, a mother that stays home and takes
care of the household (the way it should be) and a father that loves and
supports his kids.
Oh, Bonnie..... faux pas, Hon. Jason Cook is the kid who plays
Shawn Douglas and is only 19 years old right now. Jason Brooks
is the actor who portrayed Peter Blake and allegedly "boinked"
Melissa Reeves. Melissa never worked with Jason Cook. She left
prior to his arrival. Cook...Brooks....Easy mistake, at any rate.

I have come to accept that Michael enjoys making jokes about
midget sex, Bonnie. It's to be expected. He's done it for quite
some time. Missy's a great actress, but if she cheated, people
are going to imply certain things about her character and say
that she's kinky. It comes with the territory. She slept with
two men without leaving the first. That's extra super cali
fragilistic kinky to guy like Michael. We have to remember that
he's THE most right winged poster at the place, after all!
P.S. If there's a video of them going at it, I hope the scenes
with the midget have been cut from the tape for the sake of
viewing audience. Melissa's quite the "Hobbit" herself, but a
real midget is bound to really send unknowledgable viewers
straight for the Kaeopectate at the drug store. While channel
surfing, I've accidentally encountered midget sex on Public
Access Television here in Seattle before and it's something that
you NEVER forget even 30 seconds of. If I had Anorexia Nervosa
and wanted to induce vomiting immeadiately, that would be the
surefire way to make it happen. Ghastly indeed, to say the very
least.

The fact is, less than one week ago you supposedly put me back into your
killfile. How did I manage to get out of it? Or could it be I was never in
it? I think so.
Say what you will about me sugartush, but the truth is you dig me. You love
me. You can't get enough of me. You eat, breathe, drink and sleep me. I
possess your every waking thought and desire. I may be an ego maniac, but
that's what you love about me.
It's okay Bonbon. I know that you can't come out and admit it on the
newsgroup that you have a Jones for me, but it's cool. I can chill in our
current relationship. It's our little secret, hotstuff! I"m kind of
flattered to be the recipient of an older, much older, woman's affections.
Be sure to stop by Hotlanta on your way down to Florida you wizened ball of
sexuality you!

Him too? My goodness, this gal does get around, don't she? Let's see,
there's Fernando the Mexican circus midget, Jason Cook, Jason Brooks, Jamal
George (the Atlanta Falcon's 300 lb African-American linebacker), Antoinio
the drive through operator at Jack N' The Box...whew! The list is endless!
About the only person she wasn't having sex with was her husband.

I'd suggest that nobody believe it until they see her on the show. And don't
hold your breath, people.

Well, that is understandable. Please pardon my curiosity.
Yeah, I hear ya'. The original poster said "Our Sources Say...".
Well, I'd be interested in hearing WHO these sources are and how
reliable their track record's been in the past when it comes to
divulging information prior to air date. If she broke contract
once, I find it hard to believe they'd trust her again, however
if ratings might be down they perhaps may view Reeves as a
viable commodity. I don't know how desirable it would be to have
her back without Matthew Ashford, but I am partial to Ashford
and Brooks' acting as opposed to Mark and Steve, who viewers
will also recall in the role of Jack.
