Look! Somebody who hates Buffy so much he made a whole screen name just to
flame her. We need to respect him.
Two of the greatest mysteries in the world -
1) Life - how did it happen?
2) Why is it that flamers can never spell...and like wrestling. Damned eerie.
Thats right Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best show on television.
Joss Whedon( creator, producer, writer, some times director) is amazing, he
is one of the brightest men in television.
The show's writing, is funny, smart, interesting, creative and intriguing.
The stories are planned out extremely well in advance by Joss Whedon and are
really exiting
The acting is great.
Everything is great.
The theme song is even awesome(like thats important)the best and coolest
theme song on t.v..
Angel is a vampire
Buffy is a slayer
Buffy lets not get Angel layed anymore get him slayed.
Um, exactly what has that got to do with the Critic?
Is someone involved in the producing side of it that was in the Critic.
Oh, and the Critic (1st season) had the best theme music, actually.

Close, but no cigar.
The top 5 shows on TV in my view. But the top three are so close, you
could put a cup over them and they'd all fit.
B5
X Files
Buffy
NYPD Blue
Millennium
main reasons in common? Great writing, fine acting, super action and
they have created a compelling mythology that hangs together and makes
you want to know more. Tough times when any of these go off the air.

I can think of at least 10 shows that are better than Buffy.
One of them is The Critic.
Speaking of which, what in heck does your post have to do with
alt.tv.the-critic?
BTW, most of the dialogue in Buffy is as bad as in Full House and
Growing Pains. It's not even bad in that cheesy, endearing sort of
way...it's just bad. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is good for one thing
though: it puts me to sleep quickly.
Don't even make me start in on Dawson's Creek. If it was any good,
it would be able to stand on it's own, without Paula Cole and Third Eye
Blind's help.

Yep...if you like that "I look like everyone other generic blonde in

I think its a pretty good show, not as good as The Critic but one of the

Buffysux I hope you don't watch the show because of it's name its your lose.
I don't think I'm an idiot for watching the show, I can easily call you an
idiot for watching wrestling.
It's not my favorite show but its in my top 3 with Homicide and Seinfeld
Diana I'm 42male so your right.

The X-Files? Yeah, right, as if!
Can't comment on NYPD Blue... But The X-Files and Millenium are generally
very well written, if wholly uninteresting. Buffy (of the three eps I've
seen so far) is extremely well-written - though nothing suggests it has any
sort of tangible "story arc". Sorry, but I think Gillian Anderson and
David Duchovney are appallingly bad actors; as far as B5 is concerned, it's
difficult to tell whether the actors in it are good or bad because the
dialogue is so atrocious (though the likes of Andreas Katsulas and Peter
Jurassic make it seem a whole lot better). JMS can certainly come up with
good stories... just the dialogue (perhaps he should just write fewer
episodes and redraft more).
Wanna know my top five (recent, American) shows? No? Well, here they are
anyway:
American Gothic
VR5
Nowhere Man
Dark Skies
Space Rangers
All, amazingly (or not), cancelled after one season. Says a lot for
America...

Go on watch your WRESTLING, I don't think the name of the show is so bad,
Anyway I think you should watch the show for the its quality not its name.
Whats wrong with the WB, you watch wrestling on TNT right so its not on NBC

Yeah, I know it is a waste of time responding to trolls..but, really,

Hey I also like Seinfeld and Larry Sanders.
Sure you would like Buffy its a great show amazing acting, writing, stories.
Well in the States it used to be on Monday at 9:00 on the WB
Now it's on Tuesdays at 8:00pm.
What are the critics saying, well Buffy made TV Guides, Entertainment
Weekly's, and Time magazines top 10 lists for best of t.v. in 97.
On a pretty cool website www.ultimatetv.com/ It made #1 on their top 10

People of all ages seem to be watching. It's got enough intelligent

It's on the WB network in the US at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays. Check your local
listings for details. Not all areas in the US have WB channels, but if
you're a cable subscriber you may be able to see it that way. It's shown
on YTV in Canada, I have no idea what time.

Absolutely correct.
Perhaps before you try to re-define English spelling and grammar in a
world-wide forum, you might wish to learn some? This would add some
minor degree of validity to your position when you start bad-mouthing

But fortunately you were able to decypher sense from the three errors of
punctuation, one typo, one spelling error and one grammatical error.
Unfortunately missing the basic tenet of the orignal post - the
incomprehensible nature of your fellow countrypersons literacy.

Perhaps, before you try to re-educate bad spellers in a world-wide

simple errors like dropped plurals, and add a minor degree of validity
to your position when you start flaming posters over *their* grammar and

God it's annoying when someone posts a response to a topic that has
absolutely nothing to do with the topic. Where to you get off
correcting someones grammer. Most of the time, in posts such as these,
bad grammer or spelling is the result of bad typing or just taking
shortcuts. They are posting a usenet message, not writting a thesis.
And how is he trying to hook up with a "hot date"?
To the original question, Buffy is great. It's a television show based
on the movie that came out a few years ago. The movie was very silly,
which it was meant to be, but the television show has more darker
humor. The characters are supposed to be teenagers, but they can still
appeal to older audiences. I like it and I'm 29. Anyway, Sarah
Michelle Geller isn't exactly a teenager, since I believe she is 23.
And boy, IS SHE HOT! Check out Dawson's Creek. It's a new show about
teenagers that you might also might like, depending on how open minded
you are to sexual issues. One of the stars, Katie Holmes, is JUST SO
CUTE! I believe she is 18, although she plays a 15yo girl on the show.
