Anybody watch this last night on the CW? Not very good; the most fun it
offered was picking what TV shows they ripped off their ideas from.
Lots of Dark Shadows; it's basically Collinsport 90210.

I haven't seen it, but from the previews, it definitely looks as if it's
trying pretty hard to capitalize on the current popularity of "Twilight"
and "True Blood."

Love "Twilight" (really enjoyed the first movie and am loving the books,
currently reading the second one), but caught part of an episode of
"True Blood" during a free cable preview, and that was enough for me.
Way too unnecessarily explicit, which is unfortunate as I'm sure a lot
of young "Twilight" fans will have an interest in checking it out, and
end up exposed to some pretty inappropriate stuff.

"Twilight"'s vampire hero Edward really is so much like Barnabas,
fighting his baser nature and using his powers not for his own gain but
to protect innocent people. It's so refreshing to see teenage
characters like Edward and Bella who are decent, responsible and
intelligent.

True Blood is a stupid show. Doesnt make a lot of sense. Concept is
not bad. Execution of the concept is really bad. Not my cup of tea

I haven't watched it, it's waiting on my dvr.

My expectations are very low. First and foremost it's on the CW,
as Charmed/Gilmore Girls/and others shows have proven CW/UPN/WB were
too small to really run a tv show properly.

That is why ASP pulled out of Gilmore Girls prior to the last year.

True Blood is an excellent show, before you condemn it you
should try reading the books it's based on.

Bear in mind it is on HBO.

The book may be very good but the show is stupid. The concept is
great but again the way that they do the show is stupid.
