Willie Loomis and the Vampires Curse Pt 11

Kendrick Malloy is caught in Sheriff Patterson's arms as they
almost collide at the cell room doorway.  Excited and breathing heavy
Kendrick points towards the empty cell as he excitedly informs his
superior of Willie's escape. "Sheriff! I must have dropped the keys to
the cell, I was in such a hurry to get to that homicide....Loomis
escaped! I'm sorry Sheriff."
George Patterson, pats the young man on his shoulder. " Kendrick, calm
down, your a rookie, it's expected that you'd make mistakes, no one was
hurt and I'm pretty sure I know where Willie is off to, besides it
seems the woman who filed the complaint left without a word or pressing
charges, I was about to let him go anyway, its almost as if some one
wanted to delay Willie from getting to where he was going for a
while."  Kendrick is confused. "But Sheriff, Loomis was in custody, he
broke the law by escaping... didn't he?"  Taking a deep breath,
Sheriff Patterson understands what Kendrick said is correct. " Kendrick,
Collinsport is a small town,   its just small enough a town to over
look those kinds of disobedience, I would say it was more like
Willie bent the law more than he broke it, besides I have a feeling
we'll be hearing from him soon."

Kendrick looks down at the cell keys. "Well I know one thing Sheriff,
I've learned a valuable lesson."   George smiles then returns to his
desk... as he walks away from the young trainee, he says with a bit
annoyance in his voice.  "Hey Rookie, don't you have cells to
clean!"  Kendrick slumps his shoulders.  "Yes sir Sheriff."
Slowly walking towards the Cells Kendrick knew he had a lot to learn.

On the outskirts of town Willie Loomis limps towards Eagle Hill
Cemetery, after hurrying out of the jail cell Willie twisted his ankle
on a patch of grass just outside the stations rear entrance.
All the way to Eagle Hill Willie watched the sun,
trying to gauge what time it might be. "If I survive this, I'm gonna get
me a watch."  The sun was not very far from setting when the Old
Cemetery comes into view. Willie makes his plans as he hurries towards
the Collins family mausoleum.

Willie massages his sore ankle as he is sitting on the top step of
the building that was built to become the final resting place of Joshua,
Naomi, Sarah and until his release Barnabas Collins.  While holding
his bare foot in his hand Willie hears the sound of a beating heart, a
cold shiver goes up his spine, he sits motionless,  Willie hurries and
puts his sock and shoe back on.

Standing up Willie tries to listen in which direction he must
go... when suddenly his will is gone, Willie's eyes seem to stare off
into the infinite, he moves slowly towards an unknown destination,
deeper into the Cemetery, walking further into the old grave yard then
he had ever gone before.

Willie stops at a hill side, before him he sees that another Collins
mausoleum was constructed, this one dug deep into the side of the hill,
Willie regains his senses, when the sound of the beating heart
disappears, walking up closer  Willie could just make out who's
tomb this was, in the fading light of day Willie read the name Collins,
along with other words Willie could not read much less understand, the
heavy iron door was elaborately decorated in curls that resembled vines
of twisted metal, in the center of the door stood the silhouette of a
man the door almost covered entire entrance made of what looked like
cast iron.

Just as Willie was about to attempt to open the door he heard the
sound of scuffling and footsteps,  hurrying to the tall grass that
grows on the edges of the tomb Willie lies down on his stomach,
raising his head just enough to see who comes out, and hoping he will
not be seen.

The heavy door opens with a low eerie rumbling sound, the heavy door
is flung out quickly, as a young man dressed all in black comes out
falling to the ground with a hard thud.   Willie couldn't see his
face, but seemed to feel sorry for him without knowing why, until he saw
that he was followed by a much taller and bigger man... Willie
recognized him at once as the Vampire who held him by his neck at the
Old House, the blood in Willie's veins ran cold.
The smaller man in black kneels before him. "Please
master Collins forgive my ignorance, allowing the woman to survive...
please sir." Willie recognized the quiver of fear in his voice.

Willie had found not only the evil Vampires hiding place but
his grave, it would also appear that Willie discovered this evil wicked
Vampire is a Collins!

Watching, Willie listens to the conversation between master and
servant.

Thinking to himself. " That  Vampire is a Collins...but where's
Barnabas."

Suddenly before his stunned eyes Willie sees the wrath of this
Vampire.  With a single hand he picks up the smaller man, bringing
his throat to his lips, his mouth opens wide as he sinks his sharp
Vampire teeth into his almost willing flesh.

Drawing himself away, his face raises up towards the full moon, with
devilish delight he savors the taste of blood.  "You are forgiven."
He says with a hiss in his voice.

Willie rests his head on the soft grass that hides him,
thinking..." Barnabas has gotta be in there, how am I supposed ta get
him out of there." Willie closes his eyes, then again hears Barnabas
summoning him.

Shaking, Willie peers up, he hears the Vampire give orders to his
servant. " You will keep our guest company while I am away, I will
return before his time to depart us arrives."

Wrapping the wound on his neck the smaller man pleads. "Please sir
let me kill him...he." Before he could finish the Vampire, using his
powers causes his throat to choke. "You will not touch him, after all he
is a member of my own family.. if anyone destroys him it will be me but
not before he tells me where Maranda is hiding."   Falling to his
knees the smaller man nods his head. "Yes master."

With the sound of a wind the Vampire flies far away. Willie knew that
this was his chance to rescue Barnabas.
