I'm related to both of them also. Call the ACGS (American Canadian
Genealogical Society) in Manchester, NH open fridays and saturdays for
confirmation of the names Turgeon and Lasell as French-Canadians and for
confirmation of the fact that just about French-Canadians are
extra-highly interrelated . (Searching ancestry.com can also show that
Turgeon is a french-canadian name and look up Tanguay's French-Canadian
genealogy info as well as Jette's Genealogy books here on the internet).
If you are of French-Canadian ancestry yourself you must also be related
to both Turgeon and Lasell(the latter will be coming up on DS soon).

Well, I am distantly related to Vlad Tepes (the Imapaler). My last name is
Dragon. In Rumanian, that is Dracul...Dracula is "Son of the Dragon. The
story goes that the family left Rumania shortly after Vlad was killed and moved
to France. From there they moved to New Orleans in the ninteenth century.

So, your argument is that you must be related to them because you all
(probably) come from the same country, and all Canadians are inbred.

Well okay Boobie, that's also the basis of my claiming to be related to Ross
Perot. We both come from the same state, and people say the same thing about
Texans.

How about if we compromise? I'll concede the part about you being inbred, but
not the part about being related to Turgeon and Lasell.

Go to WWW. ACGS.ORG and see the website for the American Canadian
Genealogical Society. That will confirm the existence of the blessed
genealogical society. Look up Jean Turgeon at Ancestry.com, you'll go to
another screen then says something about world entries for Jean Turgeon
press that and you will then see that Jean Turgeon was indeed a French
Canadian and so is the name Turgeon. Lasell (as Dr. Guthrie) is coming
up in a few weeks, if you are a French Canadian or (French Canadian
descendant) would you not love to be related to him? I feel close to
foxy Diana Millay because of him.

Woooo. Then that means I'm related to Sir Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton,
Tom Jones and Dylan Thomas....

Yaaaaaayyyy.

If Ray gets close to "foxy" Diana Millay he'll meet his proper fate:

"Ray Salisbury...died by fire!"

The name Turgeon IS listed there, but I don't see anything that says that any
halfwit on the Usenet who claims to be French Canadian is automatically related
to everyone named Turgeon.

Now me and Uncle Ross is a different story though. I almost wish I'd voted for
him now.

Love your sig, Jeaannd!

Well, I don't have to set Ray up. Like a moth too dumb to feel the heat of
the flame, if he approaches Diana with the words he uses here, she'll burn
him worse than Laura would.

Is William Dement the guy who invented dementia? That would be one of
those cool coincidences, like the fact that mesmerization was invented
by Franz Mesmer.

Q) What do you call a Texas girl who can outrun her brothers?

A) A virgin.

No, not for real. The truth is that Turgeon, Lasell, and Ray are all French
Canadian. As usual, he's filled in the gaps with his imagination.

We have similar jokes here. For example:

Q: What is the only thing that separates Texans from total ignorance?
A: The Red River.

In Manchester,NH is open. I challenge any one of you here to call the
ACGS (tel.#1-603-622-1554) and ask them the following three if not four
questions:

1)Is it true that French Immigration to Canada came to a nearly 100%
halt at the end of the French and Indian War?

2)Is it true that just about all French-Canadians are related?

3)Is Turgeon a French Canadian last name?

4)Is Lasell a French Canadian last name?

Call, any of you, you may just prove to yourself that the above two DS
actors were indeed related and (if you are French-Canadian yourself)
that you are related to them as well.

someone please tell Guy, on another point, that I do not manage to spot
