I have been going crazy trying to remember what happened to the 1970
vampire Roxanne Drew after Barnabas stops Sebastian from shooting her
with the silver bullets. Does she get out of the coffin before Barnabas
travels back to 1841 to possess himself, or is she (presumably) still
there when Barnabas, Julia, and Stokes return from the 1840s? Help me,
I'm slowly going out of my mind!

Barnabas and Julia chain Roxanne in her coffin and hide her in the secret
room behind the bookcase in the Old House drawing room.

While it was never stated, persumably the 1970 vampire Roxanne
disappeared when she was destroyed in 1840.

Yes, that makes sense, although when you think about it, Barnabas,
Julia, and Stokes end up returning to an alternate time line they
generated thru the changes they made back in the 1840s. The ORIGINAL
time line still exists, but they can never return to it. And in that
time line the children are still dead, and Collinwood is in ruins, to be
visited in 1995 by Barnabas and Julia attempting to return from 1970s
parallel time. Presumably Roxanne is still chained in her coffin in that
time line. You have to have alternate time lines in order for time
travel to take place at all, otherwise you end up negating the reasons
for the time travelling in the first place.

The answer is that Roxanne is still trapped in the coffin when Barnabas
goes back to 1840 to possess himself. There is a scene shortly before he
tries unsuccessfully, the first time, to use the I-Ching to go back into
the past. He enters the secret room and stands before the chained coffin.
He tells, he is going away and she will be safe there. Sabastian is gone
now. He also says that he wishes he could see her face one more time, but
maybe when he returned he could. With that he leaves the secret room and
that is the last you see of Roxanne in that time.

I agree with what others have said that when he returned to the future, the
change in the past would have meant that Roxanne would have never came
there and would have never been in that chained coffin. Because the time
line was altered, the events that took place in 1970 never happened, in
that time line anyway, and thus when Roxanne was destroyed in 1840, she was
gone for good.

Hello everyone (newbie alert!! newbie alert!!)
Here's a semi-nitpicky question for you all. Is the vampire Roxanne the
same Roxanne that Willie said was the girl he was going to marry as soon
as he was done helping Barnabas? I missed some of the episodes around this
time, and was wondering why Willie never left again to resume his life
away from Collinsport, since he'd been so eager to do so. All I can
remember is that his girlfriend's name *was* Roxanne. Coincidence?

No Erica, it is not the same Roxanne. That Roxanne was never shown or
really mentioned again after that initial mention in those few episodes.

Before Barnabas traveled back to 1840, he went into the secret room behind the
bookcase where Roxy was hidden. She was still chained in her coffin. He
promised to help
her in 1840 (keep her from becoming a vampire). However, in 1840, a jealous
Angelique changed Roxy into a vampire, and she was killed by her brother (who
kept her from entering her coffin at sunrise). A sad end to such a beautiful
vampire deity.

Actually, it is never clearly stated that "Roxanne" wasn't the same
person...the only definate clue we have to them being different people is that
Willie doesn't recognize Roxanne Drew when they go to stake her...

I waited for several months to see if Willie and Barnabas would have a huge
feud over competing love interests, until realizing that, once again, that old
boogeyman 'continuity' goofed up.
