I remember watching Dark Shadows when I was age 4-6 when it was on duirng
soap opera time.

I was a little over a year ago I found early episodes on stage 6 and other
places. I found a few torrents as well. Now I've been buying the volumes
online and I'm just finishing volume 22 and got 23 this week. I plan to own
all 26 volumes.

I convert all my DVDs to divx so I watch them on the PC every night at
bedtime. Back then TV relied on a great script and less on special effects.
You don't even have to watch them. You can listen to the audio and it's
still a great show.

40 years later Dark Shadows has become an addiction for me. When I was a
little kid my mom would let me know when Barnabas was on and I would be
glued to the TV wating for him to bite someone in the neck.

The trend in Hollywood is to do remakes. We've seen new version of shows
like The Outer Limits and they can't come close to the B&W originals. I
doubt they coudl remake Dark Shadows and even come close to making it the
quality of the original.

I will eventually own all 26 volumes.

Your collection won't be complete unless you get the 6 volumes of "Dark
Shadows The Beginning," which are comprised of the 209 episodes before
Barnabas is introduced. I just bought volume 6 (before general release)
on Ebay, and my collection is now complete. And yes, it is an addiction.
