she's cute too :)
Anyone know if she went on to do any other shows?

I liked her, too; she had a nice intensity in her scenes with Jonathon Frid.

Carolyn Groves was excellent. It's a real pity she was only brought in to
tie up loose ends, so to speak. As far as I know, by the mid-seventies, she
had retired from the profession. Amazingly Betsy Durkin had not followed
her example, though had failed to add anything to her resume during the
intervening years <g>

I agree also, she did more in her one scene with Mr. Frid today than
Betsy Durkin did the whole time she played the role of Vicki. Ms.
Groves Vicki was an intelligent woman, not some quivering mass of
helplessness.

Tell me more about Betsy Durking--the worst actress to set foot on the DS set.
I loved Carolyn Groves and thought she could have made a smooth transition into
Vicky. What's more, I believe the actress could have portrayed Amanda Harris
far more effectively in the 1897 sequence than Donna McKechnie did...and it,
too, would have been a perfect part for Alexandra Moltke (who wanted to play a
more interesting role). Alas, it will never be....

I have throw my two coppers in here and say that I think that
Erica (I forget her last name) who played Leona/Danielle, the
life force of Eve was the worst DS actress ever!

thank you!
I agree as well. Carolyn is great. I never liked Moltke who seemed to me to
be a "quivering mass of helplessness". While I liked Betsy I can understand why
others would not as she radically changed the character.
Carolyn is how I think Vicki should have been all along. Intelligent, kind,
quiet strength and dignity.

I think that makes her the perfect Vicki for the screaming Rodger Davis
portrayal of Peter Bradford.

Why do people with closed minds always open their mouths?
LOL...I don't think anyone here would be brave enough to call you that!
Jedpeck - I didn't like her myself, but her name was Betsy Durkin not Durking.

That just gives me time to set things up...that orange astro turf takes a
couple of minutes to put down, you know. And It isn't easy finding cole slaw

Try not to let your mind wander. It is too small to be out by itself.
I think so, Brain, but wouldn't the cole slaw make the handcuffs
dreadfully slippery?
That's where the orange astro turf comes in, Pinky....

STUFF
. . . They had gone through the Leviathan storyline, with vengeful
Peter's Ghost stalking Jeb Hawkes for causing Vicki's death shortly
after Barnabas had gone to all the trouble of saving her and Peter.
This dangling storyline was never really resolved, and nobody went back
for a third try at rescuing peril-plagued Vicki from the Leviathans, and
her hapless hubby from execution for "killing" the 1790's version of Jeb
Hawkes.
