Final Words:
It is not my intention to play Timepolice in Dariafandom.
You know, like jumping out the bush and yelling some nonsense like:
" Hey that your fanfic is false, because Daria and Ted Devitt-Clinton
didn't have met yet in Christmas 1998…"
This is just a endeavor to put some structure into the complex world
of Daria.
It up to you to decide if I have failed or failed miserable :-)

2 things:
(1) I had the impression that Quinn is only 1 year behind Daria in
school. Not two. If so, then most likely Daria was born in December 1982.
This would be consistent with a winter birthday but would also put her
after the September cutoff for being school age. Quinn would have to be
born before September 1984. So it fits. Anybody know when Quinn's
birthday is?
(2) Jake and Helen had no children for 7 years after their marriage.
Several interpretations are possible. One is that Helen deferred
childbearing until she was through with law school and started on her
career. Another (I may not be the first person to suggest this) is that
Jake and Helen had another child before Daria which they never talk
about, perhaps because he/she died in infancy or miscarried. It's easy to
understand why Jake and Helen would never talk about this. Daria and
Quinn may never have been told.
I see no reason to quibble with this timeline. In fact, very likely there
IS an authentic Daria timeline in Glenn Eichler's laptop.

So I guess your timeline is plausible, but no timeline will stand up to close
scrutiny.

Heh--you should read my super-huge fic "Revelations", dude. ;D Thanks.

Quinn is 1.5 years younger than Daria, according to most sources I've
seen. But she is only 1 school year behind Daria. If Daria was born in
late October / Early Novemember (one of the Beavis and Butthead books
has her listed as a Scorpio) she might have missed the cutoff date for
starting first grade until she was 6.5 years old and not 5.5.

The show has made several remarks about Helen being a bit older when she
had kids. In one episode (Fair Enough?) Sandi's mother makes a comment
to Helen about having kids after age 35. Most people think that Helen
and Jake waited for Helen to finish law school, though there is some
Fanfic that says that Amy Barksdale is not Daria's "Aunt", which doesn't
really work if you listen to what Amy has to say about Helen.

This timeline actually agrees quite nicely with one I drew up. Serious
close inspection will find flaws, but that's the nature of television.
Right here, there's a problem. Fizz Ed happens in January of 2000,
due to the fact that the Superbowl happens on Sunday the 30th.
Somewhere you're off by one year.
- Mike Yamiolkoski
The SuperBowl is in January, but at least part of "Fizz Ed" happens the
following fall, because a High School football game is shown. So clearly
"Fizz Ed" spans several months (January through at least September), and
overlaps with the time of several other eps, and takes in parts of Daria's
Junior and Senior Years.
Steve Cross
Uups, my bad.
You are both right,
since Mike Quinn has already pointed out on his "Delayed Reaction
Review" at http://www.outpost-daria.com/ep501.html following
anomaly...
<Fast Forward of the Week:
It seems that we have lost about six months of Lawndale time(which
makes the chance of a sixth season seem even slimmer). The last thing
we saw in "Is It Fall Yet?" was the start of school, and then we jump
to Super Bowl weekend (which is in January). Then we skip ahead
another four weeks later to see the effects of Ultra Cola's
proliferation. And while we're one the subject of timing...
Temporal Anomaly of the Week:
Does Lawndale High have an XFL team now? (I realize that anyone
reading this in a few weeks might not remember what the XFL is.) Since
when do high schools play football in February? Unless, in Lawndale's
parallel universe, they play all year round (why else would Kevin
almost always wear his pads).>
That would mean for my timeline:
2000 Fall Daria's senior year / 12th grade starts
2000 Winter Daria turns 18.
2001 Spring 501 - Fizz Ed
2001 Summer 513 - Boxing Daria
With the footnote: That in this Daria-Parallel-Univers, high schools
do play football in February.
I made the mistake, taking it for granted, that every good American
would know about the basics of American Football. But it seems that it
doesn't apply for MTV-writers :-). Perhaps the MTV-managers should pay
them more.

At several sites, like fanfiction.net, Outpost Daria, Glitter Berries,
The Daria-Jane Conspiracy, Sick, Sad World, to name a few. But I warn
you: You won't be able to read it in one setting (unless you're some
sort of "freak" ;D it HAS been done), and its follow-up (NOT sequel)
"Visitation", of which I'm still working on the final chapter, is even
longer. In fact, it's eclipsed "Revelations" as the longest fanfic in
'Daria' history. Hope you like it. Thanks.
