I came across the following on page 99 in chapter 6 of
British author John Baxter's 1996 biography of Steven
Spielberg. This apparently occurred during the early
1970s, when he was still a struggling TV/movie director
at Universal Studios.

"Spielberg briefly tangled with Sarah Miles, and with
striking Hispanic Victoria Principal, but neither
relationship was exactly serious. Miles was no stranger
to romance, and the later star of 'Dallas' was so nakedly
ambitious that she founded her own talent agency and
blitzed casting directors with head shots and resumes
of its favourite client: herself. Spielberg later ruefully
rated her 'a great mind trapped in a great body'."

It's interesting that the two met, but I never once thought
Victoria Principal was Hispanic. Does anyone know
for sure if this is true or is the author incorrect?

I doubt very seriously that Victoria Principle is hispanic.

She definately was part Hispanic. As were Lynda Carter, Linda Ronstadt, Katherine Bach, Madeline Stowe, Rita Hayworth, Linda Darnell, Susan Kohner, Raquel Welch to name a few. You can see this in their striking features. Hispanics are the most beautiful people in the world.
