Did the Obama administration make Ford pull this ad?

We talked about this on the air today. Ford had a commercial where a real
customer said that they chose Ford because they did not take government
bailout money. They decided to pull the ad. Did the White House pressure
them to do that?

Maybe the same way the got the bondholders of GM and Chrysler to give up
ALL their rights (losing 100% of their investments)!

According to a Drudge link, the pressure on Ford might also have come
from the Unions which are doing quite well, thank you.

But not to worry: there will be plenty more opportunities to use the
bail out against the domestic competition. GM has hidden behind the
reorganization to walk away from doing some repairs on its older cars.
Obama said that the government would back up these warranties. Ford
can produce an ad saying that Ford supports its older cars/trucks but if
you have an older GM product the best you can to is have it towed to the
White House!

Since the whole point of the ad was that Ford didn't get into such
dire straits that the government had to rescue it, the ad wouldn't
have been true if that was the case.
