Before the opening credits, some guys on motorcycles enagge
in cattle rustling (in California?!?!?!) and Ponch and John pull over
Russ Tamblin for speeding, who swears revenge. Later, Ponch is called
into traffic court by the guy, who claims it was a problem with his
cruise control but Ponch counters by saying if it were, the guy's brake
lights would have been out, but they were just fine. Ohhh, burn! Soon
after they leave the courthouse, they encounter another erratic driver
who I thought was Rus Tamblin but turned out to be just a drunk driver
who rammed a young woman off the road who probably became paralyzed.
Wow, shit just got REAL! Luckily, she turned out fine so Ponch's plans
for a surprise birthday party for Jon weren't ruined. Unfortunately, the
obnoxious magician they ticketed earlier and invited to the party
botched the milk-poured-into-a-newspaper trick and drenched Ponch and
Jon.
