[CHIPS] "Hustle" S01-E09

[Ubiquitous]

After a discarded cigarette lands in Ponch's lap and burns the
crotch off his uniform, he and John pursue a pair of motorcycle-riding
grocery store robbers, only to pull over two foxy ladies. Ponch
convinces John to be his bowling partner and discovers he's a good
bowler, so he bets everyone he's going to win that year's tournement.
Naturally, Ponch sucks at bowling so I'm not sure how that's going to
work. Ponch goes to traffic court b/c some loser contested his speeding
ticket (it was kinda funny to see the Japanese guy before them using an
abacus to prove he wasn't speeding) and the judge gives him a day to
prepare his case. When they return to court, the loser produces photos
that make Ponch look bad until he explains their context. I could have
sworn when I saw this originally we saw him stalking them for the entire
episode and we actually saw more of the events that he photographed. So,
the loser loses his case. Oh yeah, they catch the elusive motorcycle
bandits in the last five minutes of the show but John hurt his thumb in
the process, resulting in everyone at work chasing Ponch for the
remainder of the closing credits. You know, I rememeber them showing
those motorcyclists more than twice as well.
