While on night patrol, Bobby and Ponch
answer a call to a jewelry store and find a preteen girl who claims an
alien told her to commit the robbery. Some running commentary:
UBI: Good grief! ANOTHER Aunt of Paris Hilton's?
UBI: Note to self: if robbing a jewelry store at night, don't peel out
in your getaway car!
UBI: Kim sez: a space alien made me do it!
UBI: Ahhh, the olde "space alien needs diamonds to phone home" trick!
UBI: Hey, Bobby! I didn't know they sold sweaters like that to men!
UBI: Plot B: "cherry picking", AKA, stealing cameras from Japanese
tourists. I don't think wrecking your car as you leave is part of
fhe plan.
UBI: They're taking Kim away from her family for this?
UBI: Wait, why is she in Ponch's custody?.
UBI: Uh-oh! E.T. wants to take Kim home with him!
UBI: Introducing special guest star Doctor Joyce Brothers!
UBI: Ponch and Bobby investigate where Kim claims the craft landed and
find scortch marks and fused quartz...
UBI: Alternative B plot: lucky chain letter!
UBI: Back to the cherry pickers, some Japanese cops are recruited.
Wait,
they're carrying their cash in their camera cases? That's gotta be
a LOT of Yen!
UBI: Hmm, I recognise that flag poster with the tiny Zimmer frames for
stars...
UBI: Kim's gone! Quick, to the pi kup spot!
UBI: Umm, what? A helicopter vortex threatening to blow her away?
UBI: Umm, yeah, Ponch, that helicopter they spotted could be anything!
UBI: Kim's mother has suddenly become repentant.
