[CHIPS] "The Return of the Supercycle" S03-E07

[Ubiquitous]

A stuntman who uses a "supercycle" in his
act is suspected of using it as a getaway vehicle again. Yeah, I can
see why we liked it as kids. Some running commentary
UBI: Oh noooo! Ponch wiped out on his bike!
UBI: Was it that motorcycle stuntman from last season? Let's have a clip
show and find out!
UBI: Ummm, why is Ponch in an oxygen tent? He only crashed his bike
into some empty cardboard boxes
UBI: We must bring back... the SUPERCYCLE!
UBI: No, Jon, I am sure Gertrare meant "no" in your request to de-retire
the SUPERCYCLE.
UBI: Gee, Roy doesn't seem nervous about Jon showing up at his bike
show ...
UBI: Yeah, Roy isn't acting suspicious at ALL
UBI: Smash and grab at jewelery store... suspect riding a red stunt bike
UBI: ... and the chase is on!
UBI: Jon didn't have a chance. We're only 15 minutes into this ep.
UBI: Jebus, Jon, why don't you make love to that damn supercycle?
UBI: Hey, the return of the stunt biker is good for business back at
the lame circus Roy works!
UBI: The red biker has been spotted and the chase is on again.
UBI: Isn't that the future 1984 Olympics stadium?
UBI: Aha, the old pull-into-a-getaway-moving-truck trick!
UBI: Gertrare FINALLY agrees to let Jon use the SUPERCYCLE.
UBI: THAT'S the SUPERCYCLE?!?!?!
UBI: Back at the traveling circus, Roy is declaring his innocence to
his crew.. Oh, hello, bike mechanic! Where have you been?
UBI: Jon and his coworkers casing out Roy's practice show. Call the
cops! Jon overheard someone using prison slang!
UBI: Later, that night... Jon has the new coworker over for dinner.
UBI: Interrupted by Grossman... why is he whispering what he discovered
to Jon? She's a cop, too.
UBI: Roy gets a call form a reporter who wants him suited up and on his
stunt cycle for an interview and photos. Nah, nothing suspicious
about that at all...
UBI: Aha, so it WAS the mechanic! And the interview is a frame-up to
throw the cops off the trail.
UBI: Bonny and the new girl tell Jon the mechanic used to be a jewel
thief and Roy mentions his weird interview in an ally.
UBI: Wow, that jewel is practically theft-proof on display like that...
UBI: Rats! Foiled by the cops! ... and the final chase of this ep is on!
UBI: Wait, why is Roy participating in this bike chase?
UBI: Jon was joking about issuing Roy a bunch of tickets, right?
UBI: So long, new girl!
UBI: Where did Ponch get that film of the stunt we saw earlier?
UBI: Ohh, punked by Getrare! BURN!
UBI: Wait, where were those six people hiding in that tiny hospital
room?
