The History of Prue

THE HISTORY OF PRUDENCE HALLIWELL

Prudence Halliwell was born in 1970 to Patty Halliwell and Victor Jones,
their first child. She soon gained a little sister named Piper.

As a witch she developed the power to move things with her mind. March
24th, 1975 she was visited by a future version of herself. It was also on
that day that Patty signed a pact with the warlock Nicholas to make him a
ring that made him immune to her daughter's powers (That 70's Episode 1.17
[Season 1, Episode 17]).

After Prue's second little sister Phoebe was born in November 1975,
Penny (Grams) bound their powers to keep Nicholas from killing them and
taking their powers. The memory of having had powers eventually faded from
the girls' minds.

On February 28th, 1978, Patty was drowned fighting a demon, which Prue
witnessed (recounted in P3 H2O).

Prue and her two sisters were then raised by their grandmother Penny
Halliwell and she became good friends with a boy named Andy Trudau. In high
school Prue dated Andy. After an argument over a boy with Prue, Phoebe left
for New York to search for their father.

After Penny died in 1998 the sisters inherited the manor that had been
in the family for generations. Phoebe returned from New York penniless and
moved in with Prue and Piper. In the attic of the manor Phoebe discovered
the Book of Shadows and with it she learned the sisters were the Charmed
Ones, powerful good witches who protect the innocent. Phoebe read a passage
from the book and it released their powers again. This happened just in time
to fend off a warlock named Jeremy Burns, who was dating Piper in hopes of
stealing their powers (Something Wicca This Way Comes 1.01 [Season 1,
Episode 1]).

When the sisters were attacked by the warlock Nicholas, who had a ring
that made him immune to their powers, they cast a spell to travel back in
time and met their younger selves, and still living mother and grandmother.
They were able to warn Patty and got her to unbless the ring. When they
returned to the present they were able to vanquish Nicholas (That 70's
Episode 1.17).

She had a romance going with police investigator Andy Trudeau but he was
killed by a demon (Deja Vu All Over Again 1.22).

When Phoebe started to get hot flashes linked to visions of men being
killed, the sisters learned that a Succubus was hunting in San Francisco.
They cast a spell to attract the Succubus which turned Prue into a man. They
were able to lure the the Succubus to her doom (She's a Man Baby, a Man
2.05).

Prue gave up her career as an auction appraiser to pursue her dream of
being a Photographer.

When the Council sent a Dragon Warlock and a Genie to kill the Charmed
Ones, a wish that Prue could feel like the first time she was in love left
her 17 years old again. Although she was killed by the Dragon Warlock, she
was brought back to life by the Genie (Be Careful What You Witch For 2.22).

While preparing for the wedding of Leo Wyatt and Piper, Prue started
having reoccurring dreams of a dangerous man in a bar named T.J. she was
visiting. Without knowing it her astral form was being used by her repressed
emotions to get away from her responsibilities. After a murder outside the
bar was blamed on Prue, the police started to look for her. The sister's
father Victor, Phoebe's half-demon boyfriend Cole Turner and Detective Daryl
Morris attended the wedding, and the Whitelighter elders sent Patty back to
Earth for the day to attend the wedding as a gift. Before the police came
after Prue, T.J. crashed the wedding on a motorcycle, Piper almost called it
off. Phoebe talked Prue into getting herself together and Daryl, Leo and
Cole were about to find the real killer. Leo and Piper were married by the
ghost of her grandmother Penny in a special ceremony (Just Harried 3.15).

When the sisters discovered a Banshee demon was killing people who were
grieving, they cast a spell to track the Banshee which turned Prue into a
dog. Phoebe was affected by the call of the Banshee, being turned into one
herself, but they saved her (Look Who's Barking 3.21).

Prue was killed by the demon Shax, an assassin of The Source of All Evil
(All Hell Breaks Loose 3.22).
