No, I am pretty sure Milano becoming a producer and getting Doherty ejected
from the show was a factor, but I will agree with you about Maggot-neck.

You're right, they're wrong.

Dozy Doherty quit. She wasn't fired, although she was probably about to
be, partly at the request of Milano and others.

The reason behind it though is because Doherty at around that time
simply couldn't work with anyone else unless she was "THE star of the
show". Whenever she was overshadowed by someone else (Jenni Garth in
Beverley Hills 90210, Alyssa Milano in Charmed) she'd simply throw a
temper tantrum and be incredibly difficult everyone to work around. The
causes of that attitude include her ass being continually kissed and
being told how "great" she is when a child-actress, as well as her own
adolescent / early adulthood issues with anger management, drugs, and
alcohol.

It's taken being ditched into the backwaters of solo hosting crappy TV
shows and going through breast cancer (and likely bouts of counselling
and rehab) for her to finally grow up and get her into some form of
common sense.

Of course, others highly infatuated with old-ugly's supposed "beauty"
will tell you that's all wrong, but it's an established fact easily
read all over the internet (not only the highly dubious sites either)
and elsewhere.
