I really love the idea of an all day, every day cartoon network.
And there's some of good stuff on Cartoon Network, like Space
Ghost Coast to Coast. I really like Space Ghost's new MTV
proffering, "It smells like Cartoon Network!" AAAH!
And then there's the dark side...cheap, bad 70s Hanna-Barberra
stuff, like the Perils of Penelope Pitstop (trivia time, buds:
What was the name of Penelope Pitstop's vehicle in the Whacky
Racers? Huh? Huh?). Stuff like--the Hair Bear Bunch, the
Hillbilly Bears (okay, these are sorta fascinating, in a milder
car collision kinda way), Squiddly Diddly, Chattanooga Cats,
Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, Butch Cassidy (shudder!).
Wish they'd run the old Beatles cartoons. I'd like to see how
they hold up, and whether or not nostalgia will make them more
palatable. Remember the Jackson 5 cartoons, y'all?
Howzabout that Scooby Doo?!
Where is Underdog when you need him?
"Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob and plunder:
Underdoooooooooog!
Underdog!
