If you noticed, the movie was filmed at the same high school BtVS uses and 90210
previously used. From what I read, SMG was across the hallway when they were
filming the movie She's All That. SMG was invited, I think by the director or
somebody from the movie (perhaps by Freddie Prinze, Jr., her costar from IKWYDLS)
to appear in the movie, hence the quick, non-speaking cameo you saw.
Hope this helps.
BTW, how _was_ the movie? I keep hearing mixed reviews.
1. "She's All That" is partially filmed at the exact same school used on
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (You can recognize the courtyard & outside
hallway w/the pillars & stuff).
2. Sarah Gellar was in another movie with Freddie Prinze, Jr. - "I KNOW
WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER."
3. Something minor - Sarah was wearing an outfit already worn on an
episode of BtVS. My guess is that they were filming that ep of "Buffy"
around the same time the producers & location managers of "She's All
That" decided to film the school scenes.
Hope I helped!

I saw varsity blues the weekend before shes all that, and compared i liked shes
all that much better... i actually thought it was gonna be kinda sucky, went
and saw it anyways cuz i wasn't paying, but i am glad i saw it now, it was good
(in my opinion)
cover her face;
mine eyes dazzle;
she died young.

The movie was filmed at the same high school they use to film Buffy.
Sarah popped in when both film crews were using the school at the same
time...

who liked it just fer Sarah and Freddie
Let's see. This may be a little mixed, a little unclear, but how does the most
God-awful piece of utter bullshit and ineptitude sound? It's like someone had
the idea of redoing those old John Hughes movies from the 80s (not a bad idea)
and then took it no further. Hell, who needs a script? Who needs a
soundtrack? Hey, who even needs to keep the damned boom mike out of the shot
during the first HALF of the movie!
In case you didn't know, the boom mike is the microphone that is held out over
the actors on a long pole during the filming of a scene to pick up the
dialogue. Occasionally, the boom mike drops into the shot in some movies and
sometimes its not seen by either the movie's director or editor. For a quick
example, check out the top of the screen during the hospital scenes in "While
You Were Sleeping." The boom mike drops in twice. Accidents happen and I can
forgive accidents.
In "She's All Crap," however, the boom mike drops into the shot and stays there
during the entire first HALF of the movie. It was so bad and so obvious that
the entire audience was laughing about it in the showing that I saw. My wife
(who is no film expert) thought that it was so bad that they must have been
doing it on purpose.
Now, call me crazy, but if you spend the kind of money on a film that is
currently spent, it seems to me that the very least that you can do is to keep
things like the boom mike out of the shot.
This movie sucked! Bad!

Most of the filming is probably done at times when classes are not in
session. Weekends, nights, and over summer vacation.

It's not the filming, per se. It's the damned microphones that keep dropping
out of the ceiling onto their heads. I heard four students have suffered
concussions this semester.
