If this has been discussed before, my foremost apologies....

There's no actual scene in an episode that show Angel being invited in (much
like the long-lost "Cordy finds out Angel is a vmapire" scene). It's left up to
our imaginations as to hwo it came about.

I thought there was an actual scene. I think it's when the door was opened.

"Can you comtemplate getting over yourself for a second?"
Does that mean that somewhere in time, Angel was ever invited into Giles'
house... probably when he was still good and hanging around Buffy and gang
lots? Becos that's the only explanation I can think of.. wouldn't expect
Giles to invite Angel in after he became bad.....

Yes, of course that's what it means. Obviously, Angel would have been just
about everywhere the rest of the gang would have been.

1) During the preceding year, not every moment of which was chronicled
on screen, Angel showed himself to be an ally to Buffy and the
Slayerettes, so it is perfectly reasonable to assume that at *some*
point he had occasion to stop by Giles's home and be invited in.
2) In "Passion", Giles specifically states that he has to go home and
perform the uninvite spell there, which even more clearly evidences
that Angel had at some point been granted access which has to be
revoked. (Of course, it is just at this time that Angel is leaving
Jenny's body in Giles's bedroom.)
It's been discussed several times on this newsgroup.
1. Because Angel was, in fact, able to enter Giles' house, and it's
been said several times that a vampire can't enter a private home
unless invited. "If A then B; if not A then not B; B" implies "A".
2. Because Giles says in "Passion" that he needs to do the uninvite
cantrip.

If you could cite an episode, that might help. The only time I recall
Angel going to Giles to give him a book were in Out of Sight, Out of Mind
(he's bringing the Codex to Giles and rescues the Slayerettes from Marcie's
gas trap), and Prophecy Girl (where Angel and Giles consult about what's in
the Codex). Both of which times he met Giles at the library at night. In
fact, I'm not even sure when the first time we saw Giles's apartment was,
but the first episode I'm sure of is The Dark Age, and Surprise/Innocence
was only a few episodes after that, which doesn't leave much time for an
onscreen visit of Angel to Giles's place.

Ya know, this question has been here alot, and I still remember watching
Doesn't Cordy learn this during or just after the Halloween episode. Buffy and
Willow tell her straight out, and she comments about it to Angel. I'm pretty
sure that at some point thereafter, Angel vamps out and Cordy see it. Further,
I recall someone saying in response to her--"Its okay, Angel is a good vamp."
Could be wrong, I haven't seen the eps in a while....
Cheers!
Peta
Even by the end of Halloween Cordy has never seen Angel in vamp face. Her
"It's OK, Angel's a good vampire" comment was clearly meant just to humour
Buffy.
