I am willing to bet that that hole dialoge spike had with the demon
was just to throw the fans off. Spike will become an unnutered vamp
next season, and in the end Buffy will have to kill him.

Maybe it's Giles killing Willow.................or.................Giles
killing Buffy at the end of next season.
