It's censored. The first night it was bleeped constantly.

I was also watching the feed and TVGN last night at the same time, with the
volume off on my tv, and the feeds would go to fish but not TVGN. What's
the deal with that?

This is the first time in years since watching BB. I recorded the TVGN at
midnight(pst)..
I think the producers of BB and CBS decide to censore the show on TVGN...and
because
the channel is free. When I use to purchase the Live feeds back then.
Nothing was censored...
Well except for some nudity. Well wouldn't do me any good recording and
watching TVGN.\
I thought the channel be uncensored. Very disappointment.

Everything I've read says that the FCC does not have any legal authority
over content on basic cable but they can use moral persuasion. Advertisers
and self-regulation are what really control what these channels show. I
don't get TVGN but I'm surprised they are censoring as much as people are
saying when they claimed it wouldn't really be any different. In Canada
people are saying the show is not censored. I haven't watched yet because
the channel showing it is delaying it by four hours. That's a whole other
bitch session!

I find it a bit weird that in the past there was always someone on Jokers
who would stream BBAD every night and it was great. This year no one is.
With the censoring I guess it's not worth it and if you have the feeds why
bother.

>On previous seasons of BBAD, I noticed they would sometimes switch to a
>different camera or the fishtank when the houseguests were talking

One huge advantage BBAD had over the feeds was that the producers could just
switch feeds if something they couldn't air was going on. I seldom saw the
fish tank. Last season when they thought Ian sprained his ankle (they were
playing outside) they had to go to the fish tank during BBAD because they
called in the paramedics. That made sense because we're not supposed to see
other people with the HGs unless it's planned.

Years ago they used to just cut the camera feeds where the unallowable
action was happening and the other ones would still work. But they quit
doing that because too often there would be sound issues where the sound
would either bleed thru to another feed or you'd get the wrong audio all
together.

They're definitely censoring it, and it's pissing me off.

From a thread Brian posted, regarding BBAD's move to TVGN:

---------------------

Looking to answer many of these unknowns I turned to TVGN’s Leslie Furuta,
the Senior Vice President of Communications and Media Relations. Ms. Furuta
provided detailed answers to every question we asked and the information she
gave us should make a lot of “After Dark” fans very happy.

Will “Big Brother After Dark” be censored on TVGN?:

The biggest question we heard from many fans was whether or not “After Dark”
would lose its uncensored privileges when moving from a premium channel to
basic cable. “Fans aren’t going to miss out on any context or hot moments
happening on “After Dark,” said Leslie Furuta. She went on to explain that
while TVGN must adhere to basic cable standards things are already very
relaxed during the late night hours. So there you have it. No, “After Dark”
will not be censored on TVGN. But wait. There’s more!

Search for the article I posted. Basically Ms. Furuta of TVGN lied to fans
about BBAD.

Pacific Coast, it's nice to see you back here. I can't believe how dead it
is in this NG. Do people not realize BB started early this season?

Good to be back. Thanks, Brian. :)

Yes, it's very dead around here compared to other years. I know I wasn't
expecting BB to start until the first week of July or so, but as soon as I saw
the first promo I got busy setting the DVRs to record it. And BBAD. Stupid
mistake on the latter...I can't stand the censorship. For heaven's sake, we're
adults, it's aired at night, I really don't need the censorship. *MAD*

BTW, I recorded both of the most recent seasons of Survivor--and ended up not
watching them. I watched the first episode of the first one, then
realized--months later--that I still hadn't watched more, so I deleted them all!
Otherwise I would've posted in the Survivor group while waiting for BB.

No, the writer of the article poorly summarized what Ms. Furata said.

To paraphrase what Ms. Furata said: "We can get away with more being on
late at night.

To which the author wrongly summarized (paraphrased): BBAD on TVGN won't
be censored.

I just found the first episode of BBAD on YouTube. I think within the first
minute or so there was a very noticeable silent gap. Who's going to put up
with crap like that when they know the HGs use foul and graphic language
constantly? CBS is crazy if they think this is going to gain TVGN more
subscribers.

They were actually very good seasons. The second season (Fans vs. Favorites
Part 2) had some things happen in it that we've never seen before. The
aftermath and the drama around the reunion show was something else. I'd say
the vast majority of fans were livid with how CBS, MB and Jeff treated the
prejury. And with how they thought those players and us were so stupid that
we'd buy their bullshit excuses for what they did.

Forgot to ask you if you have the feeds. If you do what do you think of some
of the new features CBS has implemented. I think the Highlights videos and
bookmarks of them are great.

Yes, I paid the early bird price for the season. Honestly, however...I haven't
watched them yet! At all. I don't know why, exactly, I just haven't bothered
yet. *shrug*

That's just it--they're DEFINITELY not pulling me in. I never watched TVGN
before--I didn't even know what channel it was on DirecTV!--but looked for it
once I read about BBAD. I've already stopped recording/watching BBAD because I
can't take the silly censorship.

Oh, shoot. Now you're kind of making me wish I hadn't deleted F vs F in one fell
swoop!

Well TVGN has commercials now. Before they didn't. I guess they
have to do commercials to pay for air time.

It was supposed to be commercial free for the first week but they lied. Just
like they did when they insinuated that people wouldn't see a difference in
the show because it wasn't on Showtime anymore.

I guess they did. This is the first time watching BB thru TVGN. As an adult.
Like to see and hear
what adults likes. Don't want to reveal my age.
