It's been pretty quiet but we have been talking about Ron's
bare chest! Among other things.
--I'm done asking -- Now I'm BEGGING someone to bring the tape of last
Saturday's show to the con! As someone else posted recently, Ron's
bare chest looked darn nice in "City of Lost Children," but he had that
goofy hair color and cut, so the effect was somewhat diluted.
Re the question "what's everyone been doing" --
I spent the weekend (husband's away, so I get to play!!) viewing my
BatB tapes, and, among other eps, watched "The Hollow Men," "What
Rough Beast" and "Ceremony of Innocence" for the first time in many
years. I had to cleanse my system of the heebie-jeebies afterward by
watching the Pilot and "Happy Life" right away!! I think I screwed up my
tape permanently while rewinding to re-watch the "Don't...touch me"
scene in COI -- geez, but Ron's a good actor! And I had totally forgotten
the lovely ending (I watched so many eps, I'm confused, but I think it was
in WRB) when Vincent pulls Catherine to stand in front of him and wraps
his arm around her a la Kristopher's painting, and she bends to plant a
kiss on his arm -- just lovely! Not as wonderful, of course, as the
"Catherine...your hurt" scene in "A Kingdom by the Sea," though! I ached
for Elliot (as I get older I find I have a lot more sympathy for him than I
used to). I still remain convinced that "Happy Life" is the best hour of
episodic TV I've ever seen in my life -- Linda's performance in the
doctor's office is so spectacular, I always get teary-eyed watching it. I
also sat down and re-read all my Teri stories -- Teri, you're just so
*good*! I really love "Let There Be Lions" and "Safe Haven" (and, yeah,
I've got a soft spot in my heart for "The Quickening" -- although "soft
spot" may be a poor choice of words, considering!). So I had a *great*
weekend, getting psyched for the con and enjoying myself!

JoAnn, LOL!!!!!! I too have been watching the Pilot, A Happy Life and Orphans
quite a bit as of late. Makes you get a warm and fuzzy feeling all over,
doesn't it??? <G>

JoAnn, are you sure it's not the "whatever happens, whatever comes" scene in
TRIS on Catherine's balcony????? WRB was pretty agonizing if you ask me. That
tunnel scene where Catherine asks him to "hold me" just one last time makes me
absolutely crazy because I really wanted a kiss right then and there!!!!!
Ugh!!!
<< Not as wonderful, of course, as the "Catherine...your hurt" scene in "A

Funny, I do too!!! I feel sorry for him. Although, I still have a hard time
with "Seige". It makes me crazy! It just kills Vincent! <G>

Hmmmm, I don't know....."A Happy Life" has always been my second favorite
episode. I love it desperately but that "shadow" kiss at the end always
spoils it for me.
I love "Orphans" as the best only because I think it allows them to explore
and discuss their relationship in ways that they hadn't up until that point.
It explores all the "wonders and mysteries" of their happy life that is yet to
be. The entire episode just leaves me speechless! What am I saying....that
kiss leaves me speechless!!!<G>
And you will note that when you watch the episodes in order from that point on
in Second season, you begin to truly see Catherine expressing her love for him
emotionally, verbally and physically.
All the episodes that follow "Orphans" lead to Catherine's greater
understanding of her love for Vincent. She is making tremendous strides in her
expression of love for him.
Now if a third season with Catherine had been done, I think we would have seen
Vincent making those same strides towards Catherine.
And well, what can you say about Teri! <G> She definitely gets my vote for
head writer/story editor on a B & B movie!!! Somebody with some sense has to
be smacking Koslow around when it comes to the kissing scenes!!! <G> I've said
it before and I'll say it again.....if I see any more lava, roses, shadows, I
will head up a posse and put a price on Koslow's head!!! <G>
Tina (hoping all of you have a great time at the con!!)
