With Charisma Carpenter in Maxim and Emma in the UK FHM, as well as other ladies of Buffy/Angel showing up in magazines such as FHM, Maxim, Stuff, and Loaded, I just wonder if you guys (and gals)
would buy if Playboy, for some impossible reason, would run a pictorial on the women of Buffy/Angel - past, present, recurring, and guest actresses?

It should be noted that Daphne Lynn Duplaix, who played Sarina in Expecting, was
Playboy Playmate of the month for July 1997.

Could you make a more obvious question to get an affirmative
answer on these newsgroups?

Yes. Duh!

The question is how you would want the shoot of each actress
to be designed and photographed? You know, like AH with nothing
but a flute in hand, CC in a nature background, SMG in more of
a boudoir shoot, Amy in a Texas Ranch background, etc.

Hmmm, let me get my sarcastic voice pitched just right. Hrrmm,
glackgrah, hurarrgh. Ok all ready.

No i would never purchase a smut rag with my favorite actresses from
Buffy in it. Whats more, i would be shocked and offended if any of
them lowered themselves to such a debase level. I would never take
any of those actresses seriously again and would immediately leave any
of their fan clubs that i joined or started. In fact i would boycott
the show and throw out all the jpegs i have with their faces
photoshopped onto various pornstars......oh wait forget i said that
last part.

A lot of the better known "Baywatch" girls started as Playboy
playmates, so for that pictorial, Playboy just used old photos that
they already owned.

Okay, ladies....our turn! Shall it be Playgirl, or simply a nice glossy calendar to ogle for an entire year? I'm leaning towards a calendar: Here are my picks:

Anthony Stewart Head in Ripper-wear [mmmm..leather pants]
Alexis Denisof in tux [oh yeah]
Christian Kane in tight jeans & a tight white tee [oooh! one o' them tight tank types!] DB in tux or speedo or leather [hey i'm not picky]
J August shirtless in jeans
Nick Brendan in his butch construction gear [or maybe Go Fish's speedo...]
James Marsters in leather or denim but definitely shirtless

After that 7, we could repeat a few faces or go with some fave guest stars/recurring guys:

Seth Green but I'm not sure how dressed to be a hottie...I mean he's good but more a buddy than a hottie, know what I mean?
Groosalug guy in his Conan gear or better, in jeans and not w/bad contacts
Ben [of Glory/Ben] in jeans or something
Heck, even Gavin Park [actor: ??] who was kind of staid in the W&H suit looked pretty nice as a martial arts baddie on Charmed so maybe put him in a gi with his shirt open!

That makes 11 so for December we put in a bonus shot of all the hotties together! Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy Kwanzaa, y'all!!!

So, ladies, what say you?? Salty Goodness all around!!!!!!

Dawn =)

She also was Anne in two episodes of Angel. She named herself Anne after
Buffy's middle name, back in S3 episode "Anne". I thought that was cool.

Poll indeed!

Uh, yes I'd buy.........................

a few hundred copies to go on my fantasy shelf next to my fantasy
"Women of Party of Five" special edition which I would keep next to my
(real) JLH autographed "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" CD
(Yes, she IS that cute in person and as nice as people say.)

I'm not into the Playboy thing, really. I've only owned one (the
Shannon Dougherty issue---hey, it was Brenda naked!). I guess I'm not
into the "Playboy Type" look. But, put one (or more) of the Buffy
celebrities I admire, and I couldn't resist. I'd be curious, and, if
the rest of the world is going to see, say Sarah or Alyson's
"goodies", then I'm darn well not going to miss that. :) Maybe we can
get Willow to put together the Buffybot and persuade it to pose? For
Dawn's college fund, of course.

Other stars, hmmm....
Eliza (of course!),Juliet,Buffybot (!), Robia(Jenny), Amber, the
actress who played the original "bot", the actress who played Katrina,
maybe. Not Riley's wife--just because..ewww Riley's wife. Angel has
had quite a few lovely ladies (living and undead) also that I'm sure
somebody will add to the list.

How about VampWillow. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bite me baby! Now, we're
talking.

Sarah, Alyson & VampWillow.....in a moonlight(obviously not sunlight!)
photoshoot by the shore. Sarah holding a stake, Alyson a magick
crystal, and VampWillow an evil grin. And nothing else. Is it getting
warm in here?

He's an unbuttoned shirt over T-Shirt type guy in jeans.

Brad Graham - white T-shirt and camouflage pants w/boots.

Owen from NKAGOTFD

Don't think its Cultural Conditioning. It's more an ingrained biological fact.
We ladies are simply turned on more by our minds...imagining what's under the
tux or imagining the act of removing the jeans rather than simply viewing the
dangly bits. Many men, however, are fairly one-tracked: "Show me the boobies!"
is their frequent cry.

I don't know whether it's nature or nurture, but I think many women
just want to dress things up. At least, when I first saw those 9"
action figure/dolls for Star Trek (and then for Buffy) my first
reaction was, "This thing needs outfits!" I'm not even that into
clothes, but give me a doll with removable clothing and the first
thing I want to do is dress them up. Go figure.

I remember joking with my roommate in college that Ken dolls allow
young girls to practice so they can dress their significant others
when they grow up. Sadly, most men are more resistant to being told
what to wear than the average Ken doll. :-)

Um NO. She-Mantis was played by Musetta Vander, who has been in things like Wild
Wild West, Project Metalbeast, Oblivion, Highlander The Series, The Sentinel and
Star:Trek Voyager.

I would like to see her in a pinup though.

Hell Yeah squared.

I don't think Aly is their type. PB only seems to feature tan blondes with frankentits, not petite pale redheads. But
I wouldn't be surprised if Aly posed for such a mag, she seems the most open of all the Buffyverse actresses.

Too bad, she's a honey.

Julie Benz definitely is the type of woman PB likes, which probably explains why she doesn't really do much for me...

Hell Yeah! Amber is built like a woman should be. No stick figure/little boy butt concentration camp refugee like
Gellar.

>Eliza....nuff said.
>Robia LaMorte

<thud!> As much as I would love to see Robia in a photo spread (even a Maxim level one) it's not likely. From what I
understand she's more than somewhat religious.

>The girl who played Lily/Chantrelle

Nice!

I'll add:

Mercedes McNab
Juliet Landau... not the Playboy type but one can dream. Even a fully clothed photo layout of Juliet is drool material
(I'm not biased, I only have Juliet/Drusilla wall paper on my desktop.....)
what'sherface who plays Lilah on Angel. Stephanie Romanov.

I thought Texans considered Oklahoma & Hell to be the same thing, or was that Okies consider Texas worse than Hell? <g>

Barely Legal or Just 18 seem a more appropriate choice of magazine....... not that I've ever looked thru such
questionable 'reading' material.......

What is the real market for Playgirl and beefcake calendars? Hetero
women or gay men?

Clare Kramer, Clare Kramer, Clare Kramer would be glorious (sorry, couldn't
resist!).

PG is actually probably more for fellas but the average beefcake calendar could

[Who used to read the occasional PG with a gay friend who actually liked it a lot
more than she did! LOL]
